I think we haven't seen the worst of obamao yet. that's very bad.

oh yeah, he's basically "dying" to leave offfice..he's practically already packed. But ur right, we haven't seen the worst of him.

Just wait until he bans all guns. Just like he was planning to do all along!

  • he can't get to first base with that one, woodypeckerhead.

  • What exactly would one of these crises look like? Assuming it's not zombies that is. Because if it is, I'm all set. Seatbelts, cardio, double tap.

  • I can see situations where there could be a total breakdown of society. Look at what happens every time we have some bad weather and how quickly the shelves empty at the grocery stores. People panic.Look at what happened in New Orleans with hurricane Katrina. Look at what happens when we have rioting. Now look at what would happen if something like this would happen on a national scale.

In the thirties we had the Great Depression. I talked to some people who lived through that. One guy told me his family ate lard sandwiches. If we had something like that today people aren't going to be eating lard sandwiches. There will be rioting before that would happen.

ah well done, saw what you did there.

  • I'm glad someone did. Too good a movie to go unnoticed.

The cardio thing was so next level tbh. Had never occurred to me before that.

IKR, guns/blunt object, food/water, somewhere safe, then maybe entertainment. Ultimately make your way to an island that you can clear of zombies (and zombos) and farm. Oh hey, we're back OT ๐Ÿ˜

  • zombies don't swim. They won't be on the island, unless there's a bridge.

Two strangers were out backpacking in the woods. They came upon each other and decided to walk the next bit together. Around a bend in the trail they came face to face with a bear. One stranger drops to his knee, fetches his running shoes from his backpack and begins removing his hiking boots. The other stranger just stares and says, "There is no way you can run faster than that bear."

The kneeling stranger stands up and replies, "I don't have to be faster than the bear. I only have to be faster than you."

They don't have air in their lungs either so theoretically they could walk along the bottom of a body of water slowly and inexorably until they emerge on your island and eat you alive.

Not one of my favorites to be honest, but using "For whom the bell tolls" as the opening number was inspired.

  • Yeah it wasnt a great movie necessarily. But it had its moments

  • we aren't talking about movies. that's another forum. Let's keep to the subject here.

For instance, you have a major crisis, have to evacuate your home, maybe for a month or two.

Something horrible happened, terrorist act, freak gigantic tornado-hurricane, some nuke plant

    major disaster.... or societal breakdown...

what would you and your fellow townsfolk do? what would you take with you?

The people at Katrina never planned for that to happen. Or else they would have moved?

What if something does happen? Where would you go, what would you take with you?

Suppose we get hit by a terrorist attack, and obamao goes full bill ayers and bernidine dorn?

http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/weatherunderground/today.html He was friends with ayers, btw.

started his career at ayers' father's home.

Would you know how to survive?

Okay, ignore all that, and go with a more plausible scenario. You go out west, or to Canada or Alaska,

on vacation. You get lost on some side dirt road, way out in the wildnerness, and your car breaks down.

No communication, no cell towers. Nobody knows where you went, or if you're even there.

You can't walk out. Would you have the know how to do well in that environment? What if it

was a beautiful fall day just a week before winter?

Just curious. It's more like having a first aid kit and a fire estinguisher. You know you won't have a fire or get

    hurt...but what if?

  • I could make the best pancakes from scratch, start a fire several ways, build a shelter,

find water and food, stay warm, use various plants for food and medicine, at least a bit,

Saw this write up on a couple who drove through Utah..or Idaho... in winter, and their car

cronked, quit running, way, way out in the wilderness.

their choices were terrible. Would ya know how to make good choices?

suppose you go fishing and camping way up N. in Ontario? Car won't start, cell phone won't work,

you are in the wilderness. Stranded for days/weeks... you're at the end of some small dirt road you noticed,

at the end of the paved road, end of the gravel road....

would ya know how to make smart decisions and stay safe/fed/safely hydrated?

    just interesting to think about.

  • Well, if my car broke down in the middle of nowhere, then I doubt Id have anything with me. Unless I thought to fill my truck with survival stuff. which I wouldnt.....but in Alaska....in the wilderness....a week before winter.....I know Id have warm clothes and a blanket(cause I always do).....Id have a lighter or 2, some snacks and outdoorsy stuff.....plus, Id have my car for shelter and some scooby snacks(plus Id probably have my dog too....so if I got really really hungry, then so sorry for scoobs) ๐Ÿ˜‰....

But...yeah....I think Id survive long enough.....the car would provide many things like tools and materials for cutting, hunting etc....and have very good camping/survival skills that I think would carry me.....hopefully.....

I agree. Completly. The wayward chainsaw death had me in simultaneous awe and hysterics
