I meant your credit would be credted the false charge.

    You must show "real damages"

Possibly, thats why I want to talk to someone who has a clue about this.

    good luck

  • Just talk to your credit card company. They'll possibly give you the runaround for one call, ask for someone higher. You are free to dispute the charge, the credit card company will see that it was improperly processed and credit your card back and go after AT&T for the charge for not following procedures.

If you are out for some kind of big payday out of this, good luck.

  • call your bank and have them reverse the charge, they'll do it.

    You have nothing.

    Go buy a lottery ticket.

  • You may be able to start here...

    http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

  • You might have a better case for suing the stains for decades of shitty football.

  • Its already under investigation by my credit card company. I guess they will provide me with all my options once its finished.

Afew years back AT&T screwed up my mobile phone contract and I was fighting them for 6 months and nothing came to light and was changed on the billing until I filed a complaint with the FCC.

I have 3 cell phones under my name on a family plan, they were charging all 3 as seperate accounts and everytime I would call they would say we have it fixed but it wont be reflected on your bill until next month, and I would have to pay what was charged to keep service on. FUBAR! The rep would always say its beyond my control, finally I heard a PSA for the FCC and went online and filled out my complaint. Within 24 hours It was resolved, with a credit back to my account + some.

Stands to reason you'd come directly to a football and political discussion forum.

I'm assuming you've already tried the hardware store and ice cream shop.

I just disputed a charge for an item I returned unopened.

Visa sent me forms to fill out and asked for copies of correspondence and dates and times of phone calls.

I have no doubt they'll credit the amount eventually.

Also any PI attorney in the book will listen to your story free and if there's a payoff at hand will be glad to take a third of it.

Call your credit card company. They will track the charges down and fix it. Happened to me. Takes a while, and less costly then trying to sue AT&T

They actually called me as soon as it happened to see if it was fraudulent, so they've been on top of that from the beginning.

It just seems to be it has to be illegal to accept a credit card payment from someone who can't verify a damn thing on the card EXCEPT the number.

  • Save up your money and hire an EXPENSIVE attorney, famous. Then sue AT&T. You will be rich and living with mz the pussy in LA in no time soon there son. 🙄

  • A rabbit can dream, can't he.........

Yea I use one card for credit card transactions online and phone. As a web guy out of the 20 or so eCommerce stores I have made or after 8 years of shopping online, never had a problem. It's only when someone called the store that there is an issue (someone tried to buy a part for their car). How did they get your number in the first place you think? If you don't mind me asking, what were they trying to buy and what method did they use (phone or online). Just curious. Maybe I can give you some tips.
