He has made a ton of enemies within the party with his scorched earth personal attacks such as:

Everybody in the party became his enemy as soon as he announced he was running - it has nothing to do with anything he did.

Maybe you should consider that Cruz can't answer a question without bringing up Donald Trump. Asked about the Brussels attack "well it's ironic Donald Trump made the comments about NATO which happens to be headquartered in belgium"

Asked about having an affair with his wife "Well Donald Trump..."

Asked about why he has a tax plan that is utterly Retard and will cripple the working class "Well the thing you need to understand about Donald Trump"

Everybody else's strategy has been to attack and corrupt Trump's image - so he responds, which is good because the Jeb Bush's and Ted Cruz's would be terrible for our country. People have quit his campaign because they disagree with the ethics of things that have been going on.

The Ted Cruz strategy is "I'm the only one who can beat Donald Trump". The Donald Trump strategy is "I'm going to make America great again and we're going to win, win, win,..."

Are those policy differences or juvenile name calling? I guess Cruz could start every interview with calling Trump "Sleazy Donald" like Trump calls Cruz "Lying Ted" but then he would be using the Trumpton shorts playbook. Of course candidates are going to attack each other on issues it has been the Trumpster who has gone into the gutter with juvenile personal attacks like the ones I already posted.

It really is a Long Way to the election. And as we speak about candidates or even sports teams peaking early, I'd say that the insane anti Trump attack dogs will wear out their welcome someday. Sooner or later the world needs to turn its venom on Hillary.

I think this is where Trump and his supporters are making a huge mistake. Trump needs to turn his attention to Clinton and when he attacks her that will naturally rally republicans behind him. He seems bent though on destroying his own party. Trump has only gotten the support of about one third of the republican vote with two thirds opposed to him. He has made a ton of enemies within the party with his scorched earth personal attacks such as:

    Cruz: :Lying Ted

    Graham: Idiot

Perry : tries to look smart wearing glasses

Rubio: Little marco the baby, lightweight, clown

Carson: compared him to a child molester (I know he still is endorsing Trump)

    Bush: Low energy, dull

John McCain: Not a war hero because Trump only believes war heroes are those who don't get captured

Fioriana: who would vote for a face like that

I am probably missing a few.

But my worst one is Trump calling one of my all time favorite rockers Neil Young a "total hypocrite" for asking Trump not to play his songs during his campaign and once having asked Trump for some money. 🙂

I think it is possible Trump could still beat the odds but he is really going to have to get his game better and start reaching out to bring the party together. I don't like the establishment part of the GOP as much as anyone but it will take the whole of the party united to beat Clinton. Since Trump was compared to Reagan let's remember Reagan's 11 th commandment about not speaking ill towards another republican and Trump has turned that on it's head with his personal attacks and dividing the party.

    Good luck in November:

    Trump's negatives:

Women: over 70 percent disapproval (represent 53 percent of voters)

    Blacks: 83 percent disapproval

    Hispanics: 77 percent disapproval

    Millennials: Over 80 percent disapproval

It's odd that Trump has more women, black, hispanic, and millennial votes than everybody else on the republican side combined then.

Also more democrat and independent votes.

But Ted Cruz - who has ONLY won die hard conservative/religious closed primaries and caucuses in red areas has a better chance at beating Hillary in a general.

Trump is killing it in the south, the midwest, the north east. The fact he's turning people out in record numbers to vote for him has to count for something right?

  • The Hill’s Ben Kamisar points out that while Republicans have justifiably complained in the past about Democrats talking about a war on women — “Donald Trump has personally waged a war on women for decades.” Kamisar reminds us of the damage caused by Trump’s war on women. He cites a new CNN poll released March 24 that found that 73 percent of registered female voters in the United States had an unfavorable view of Trump. He also writes that is in line with a Reuters poll from last week that found more than half of American women hold a “very unfavorable”view of the Donald. In addition, Kasimar tells us that opposition to Trump extends to Republican women:

A recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found that 47 percent of Republican women could not see themselves supporting Trump, a number significantly higher than for any other GOP candidate.

Polls: Trump Clobbered by Hillary Among Women, Nonwhites, Millennials

I don't care who the Republican nominee is they aren't going to win the women, minority, or millennial vote (millennials don't show up anyway)

But if you look at what matters - the people who have actually voted - Trump is crushing his competition among every group and it isn't even close.

And NBC/WSJ polls have proven to be outliers every time - and they've been wrong versus others like quinnipac, CNN, fox

GE polls mean nothing until July

Here's what dilbert creator Scott Adams has to say about Trump.

    6. To bend reality, Trump is a master of identity politics – and identity is the strongest persuader.

"Do you think it is a coincidence that Trump called Megyn Kelly a bimbo and then she got a non-bimbo haircut that is ... well, Trumpian?" Adams writes. "It doesn't look like a coincidence to this trained persuader."

One way to achieve this is by deploying "linguistic kill shots" that land true, and alter perception through two ways.

"The best Trump linguistic kill shots," Adams writes,"have the following qualities: 1. Fresh word that is not generally used in politics; 2. Relates to the physicality of the subject (so you are always reminded)."

Writes Adams: "Identity is always the strongest level of persuasion. The only way to beat it is with dirty tricks or a stronger identity play. ... (And) Trump is well on his way to owning the identities of American Alpha Males, and Women Who Like Alpha Males. Clinton is well on her way to owning the identities of angry women, beta males, immigrants, and disenfranchised minorities.

"If this were poker, which hand looks stronger to you for a national election?"
