Submarine Hillary has changed target, Trump now in cross hairs
-
And then the dems will tie republicans to their support for Trump and the republicans lose the senate:
-
Hillary Clinton spent a million dollars to "correct the record" on reddit, twitter, and facebook.
She has to pay people to defend her on the internet, she's toast.
-
The best thing Trump has going for him is Hillary Clinton. The dems couldn't run a worse candidate and that is why I think Trump can win in November. I was surprised when my ultra lib dad told me he doesn't even like having to vote for her and I never thought there was a democrat running for president ever he didn't like.
I don't think Trump will be too successful in getting Sanders supporters though not when Sanders himself is on record he will do everything he can to defeat Trump in November.

Ed i'm not in disagreement with you on how distasteful Hillary is. I'm just telling you, Trump has gone out of his way to make himself even more grotesque and distasteful. WHY?
-
how? When a decent chunk of his own base can't stand him (Trump)
For sure. Including most conservatives that have two functioning neurons in their head.
Think about this Ed. He'd still be where he is now if he had dialed down the asshole a couple notches months ago. Why didn't he?
Yup.
I'll bet a bottle of fine scotch that Trump schlongs her in November.
BB, I've been around a long time- and I wouldn't be surprised if we have a third party candidate show up, shades of Ross Perot in 1992. I really feel if "None of the Above" was on the ballot- it would win in a landslide. I can't stand Hillary- or Trump. BTW, I would have voted for Rubio.

That third party candidate just locked up the GOP nomination.
-
The only third party candidate I could possibly see getting any traction is Jill Stein - from the never hillary democrats.

Ok Larry, as a conservative with a functioning brain cell or two what have you wanted the president of the United States to do over the last 25 years?
And in what ways have you been disappointed?
And which third-party candidate that would siphon enough votes off to guarantee a win for Hillary do you think will make you happy?

Get on the Trump Train or get the fuck out of the way.

1) Not expand the welfare state.
2) have a clue about international politics.
3) make a feeble attempt to nudge Congress to get the national debt under control.
That's exactly it Steve- a third party candidate guarantees Hillary win. I think she's going to win regardless. Trump is appealing to the lowest common denominator- and it's not going to work- just MHO. My wife was mad that I voted for Perot. I wish Paul Ryan wouldn't have backed out.
My vote: Trump Hillary None of the Above X
What worries me about Trump is the old adage Absolute power corrupts absolutely- and I sure don't want a loose cannon in charge of the Red Button. When Trump wins the nomination in Cleveland- just send him on a raft across Lake Erie to Canada, for all I care. Clinton is even more crooked than her hubby. Why she'll win? Trump's rating with women is abysmal- and Hillary will garner a large portion of the women vote- just because she happens to be one.
The only saving grace is going to be- when the Republicans get trounced in November- they're going to have to seriously rethink their platform.

Well I can't tell you who to vote for and not to vote for. TO me th answer, if not perfect, is clear.
As the process went on my favorite candidates dropped out one by one and though he wasn't my last choice Donald Trump I was far from my first.
I can't imagine how you think the Hillary and the Democrats will be friendly to your list of wishes. Shrink the welfare state? Not a chance in the world, it will expand beyond your wildest dreams.
Have a clue about foreign affairs? How has that gone for the last three four five Etc presidents?
As a matter of fact no president in my memory has been an expert on International affairs and has selected a team to handle that. Barack Obama selected Hillary and a bunch of other morons who have done a terrible job in my opinion. Donald Trump will assemble a team. I can't imagine they'd be much worse and quite possibly would be better.
You say he hasn't mentioned chipping away at the national debt? You are either too hostile or just not listening. One plan that's been mentioned, the Penny Plan, requires eliminating one penny from every dollar. Assume that wouldn't even be noticed, like removing one of the olives from an airline's salad, saves a ton of money. Remember that the overblown shutting down the government battles have been over a mouth hovering around one-and-a-half percent.
As for women at some point they will have to decide whether they want to be equal members of society or want to be protected by patriarchal men, it's as simple as that.
But I will repeat, and you should remember, that the current president nor any president, can't be an expert on the job he has to do. All he can do is assemble experts who will guide United States policy.
Just remember when you buy into the Litany of phony attacks against the guy (example : he hates immigrants. No he doesn't he opposes illegal immigration as should we all.) that it could be a lot worse. And it will be a lot worse under Hillary.
And as for wishing for another candidate? Unfortunately the stupid process has eliminated that from ever happening. But it is what it is.
As far as I'm concerned the best hope is an independent run from Bernie Sanders to siphon off votes from the Wicked Witch of the West Wing. Then cross your fingers that Donald Trump picks the right team.

Steve, the problem on the immigration issue is that, to most Hispanics (large voting bloc),
opposing illegal immigration and hating immigrants is one and the same.

But it doesn't have to be. The only reason it is....is because conservatives are so got damn intellectually lazy that they can't go to the legal Hispanic voting block and make the proper case. Instead it "always" comes off dooshey and overtly racist as fuck whenever a conservative opens his mouth and talks about immigration. Trump set that effort back 50 years when he talked about their criminals and rapists back stroking the rio grande.
Seriously I could make a case for that wall to actual Hispanics that would have a good chance of flying. Instead Trump made it sound like there's gonna be guys in white hoods patrolling the top of the wall. And no it wasn't some liberal media context filter, I heard his own words. He's an idiot.
-
It's been said on here before, when you take the stereotypical hispanic - hard working, family oriented, god fearing - there's a natural synergy with the republican narrative. It would be so easy to win over that bloc and yet it hasn't happened.

80% of Central American women who make the journey to cross the US-Mexico border get raped.
So he isn't wrong, and he never said "all mexicans are rapists" which is what the media likes to portray.

Steve, I would love for that to happen, but it's maybe a 2% chance.
Trump's rhetoric scares the hell out of me- if he's being sincere about it. Ya know, comments about building a wall, the Muslims, the women insults.

no he said all the illegals coming over here are rapists and murderers. And then an incident happens where an illegal kills someone and automatically it vindicates his broad stroke statement.
