    1. Peyton Manning

    2. Brett Favre

    3. Tom Brady

You ask an excellent question. While I have listed the top players in the pfr career production average.....that single stat, though it somewhat tries to be that, is NOT the be all and end all of things. Warner is actually way down on the CA.....because he had a somewhat short career....12 seasons. Compare to like Vinny T.....who had a very long career....and productive in terms of his total numbers...be that CA or completions/yards/TDs etc. But no one, I believe, would put him into the HOF over Warner whose stats are much, much lower than Vinny's.

So, I guess what I am saying is that my original post didn't ask....are these ALL of the players that warrant future HOF consideration.....it is just a specific list of players.....there are others.

Not in yet...see Zombo's post....but note......Favre and Marvin Harrison should be taken off that list above....as they have been elected...just not inducted.

Warner is not in the Hall yet. His greatness was confined to shorter career with some mediocrity (Giants) in the middle, so he is a good example of someone who most definitely belongs in the Hall but doesn't top any numbers list.

If it was the Hall of Numbers, then Kenny Anderson would be in and Joe Namath would be out ... but is the Hall of Fame.

Damn premonitions... swear I have an image of him in a gold blazer giving an inductance speech.

Here is a list of first time eligible players that will be up for the 2017 HOF Class:

          Brian Dawkins DB

          Tommie Harris DL

          Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) WR

          Larry Johnson RB

          Thomas Jones RB

          Olin Kreutz OL

          Matt Light OL

          Derrick Mason WR

          Donovan McNabb QB

          Joey Porter LB

          Bob Sanders DB

          Jeremy Shockey TE

          Jason Taylor DE

          LaDanian Tomlinson RB

          Whines Hard WR

          Ricky Williams RB

LDT, to me is the only Nicollete Sheridan in this bunch. The interesting one will be Donovan McNabb.

And besides Warner, here are some other current eligibles who may also be highly considered:

          Isaac Bruce

          Tori Holt

          John Lynch

          Terrell Davis.

          Morten Anderson

          T.O.

          Kevin Mawae

          Edgerrin James

          Faneca

          Joe Jacoby

          Steve Atwater

Who among these will/should make it?

I have been waiting for 2 Defensive players to be elected in. One famous Nose Tackle is long over due, N.Y. JETS, #73 Joe Klecko, and our very own BROWNS LB, #57 Clay Matthews, clay should go in for a team record holder, and for longevity and years of service.

Problem is that neither of those guys have even made the Finalist list any time lately. While Clay was one of 108 semifinalists, Klecko didn't even make that.

I have a major beef with the committee who finalizes the induction into the H.O.F. I want to know why after being retired for 33 yrs, and now has passed away, Raiders QB Ken Stabler is inducted? I want to know why he is selected this year and not years ago? I feel the committee has a ignorance toward Stabler, and that's why he was always left out, but now that he passed away, oh we feel its time to put him in. BULL SHIT.

                The man's records haven't changed since 1982.

I feel he has been selected in now only because he is passed.

                  Hines Ward should.

Has the stats. 2 X Super Bowl winner, 4 X Pro Bowler (3x second team), SB MVP.

What puts him over the top is that no one has ever played the position like he has. Wasn't the prototype WR. Never took a play off, always looking to find someones head to knock off.

My wife is a hottie. She's never cheated on me and vice versa. We met in High School and married after I quit college. Shes a saint actually and I'm the luckiest guy on earth.

For you to even joke about sleeping with my wife is laughable. I'm '6 - ''2 and weight 255lbs with a 4% body fat. I'm 50 yrs old too and have a perfect smile. Dude there's no way she would fuck you.

My wink broke up Johnny and Coleen and sent him spiralling out of control.

I wouldn't want to do that to you, you seem like a decent guy.

Recall the other night you asking your wife where the fuck she was at 2AM? I was up because I just finished with her.

                                Classic stuff! Thatta boy!

You don't have to worry about Stink - he's pretty devoted to Vag. It gets really creepy when they get in the same threads.

All that said, it sounds like your height, weight and body fat got Ghoolie really excited. I knew I should have bought stock in viagra.

I welcome the only Defensive Coordinator to earn a Superbowl Ring in New Orleans while understanding Revenge of the Nerds is a sequel. "Come get some!"

My wink broke up Johnny and Coleen and sent him spiralling out of control.

I wouldn't want to do that to you, you seem like a decent guy.

I might have embellished a little on the body fat but nonetheless I'm in good shape don't mean to brag really. I don't drink or smoke ciggerettes that's the big key in staying healthy. I'm diabetic and have to eat healthier than the rest of my family. So the best that I'm in shape my A1C level stays near perfect so I can live. It's probably a blessing but boy howdy a cold beer and a shot of bourbon is tempting at times.

                                  Quick funny story.

My wife and I were in the city (Springfield) and and turned into the dollar store. Now as perfect as I may seem on the outside I'm a terrible driver. I whipped into a Dollar Store and this group of young punks wanted a parking space and I didn't see them wanting the spot before me. They pulled behind me yelling at us. I put the car into park wondering what was going on. I step out of the car and they got a look at me at drove off. My wife smiles and says "I love you honey".

Here is a list of first time eligible players that will be up for the 2017 HOF Class:

                                    Brian Dawkins DB

                                    Tommie Harris DL

                                    Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) WR

                                    Larry Johnson RB

                                    Thomas Jones RB

                                    Olin Kreutz OL

                                    Matt Light OL

                                    Derrick Mason WR

                                    Donovan McNabb QB

                                    Joey Porter LB

                                    Bob Sanders DB

                                    Jeremy Shockey TE

                                    Jason Taylor DE

                                    LaDanian Tomlinson RB

                                    Whines Hard WR

                                    Ricky Williams RB

LDT, to me is the only Nicollete Sheridan in this bunch. The interesting one will be Donovan McNabb.

And besides Warner, here are some other current eligibles who may also be highly considered:

                                    Isaac Bruce

                                    Tori Holt

                                    John Lynch

                                    Terrell Davis.

                                    Morten Anderson

                                    T.O.

                                    Kevin Mawae

                                    Edgerrin James

                                    Faneca

                                    Joe Jacoby

                                    Steve Atwater

Who among these will/should make it?

                                    Hines Ward should.

Has the stats. 2 X Super Bowl winner, 4 X Pro Bowler (3x second team), SB MVP.

What puts him over the top is that no one has ever played the position like he has. Wasn't the prototype WR. Never took a play off, always looking to find someones head to knock off.

The issue with him is his competition. There are a number of other WRs that may be equally deserving that are not in yet and that have been waiting longer. All these WRs have had to wait: Carter, Tim Brown, Reed, Harrison, etc. A couple of others that come to mind are T.O. and Randy Moss.....they will get in over Ward. Also Bruce and Holt will be in competition with him.

His dirty play could even hurt him in the minds of voters.....at least delay his entry.

But it wasn't dirty play. If you're old enough you'll remember tactics like chop blocking, helmet slaps, etc. were all legal before they became illegal.

Wasn't dirty play? "Get your Head on a swivel" was made a term by Hines Wards illegally blindsiding DB's in the head or ear-hole. Queen of illegal screens & picks too. Hell yes I'd take a Ward as a Brown..

He played dirty. His fellow players voted him the dirtiest player in the league. I will leave it to their judgment.

But, as I said, while I do think he will get in....he may have to wait a while. Carter waited like 10 years, no?
