Glad to see Telfer listed as the #2 TE.. here's hoping Hue wakes up and sees every TE as more NFL-ready than our current FB's..

K'waun couldn't be any further down the depth chart.

No way Nassib is behind Hayden at this point.. Look for Hayden to be released sometime soon..

Still think Scooby and Alexander should both be listed ahead of the bottom-of-the-52-caliber backup LB's named Carder and Tuggle.. The issue is that we know Carder/Tuggle's ceilings, and the back-of-52 slots should (IMHO) be reserved for players who have growth potential. Those guys do not..

How is Gilbert still a #2 CB?

Who is this Dan France character, and why aren't Bailey/Drango being groomed to at least be backups to both..

Jennings and Moore and Gabriel.. thanks, but goodbye.

Mostert is a KR.. because he has the most drops?

You just cut our two best special teamers, Carder and Moore.

No surprise there- T Williams was pretty mediocre last year. I expect the other K Williams to be traded for a sack of seeds.

So would Tefler be glad as he presently the #3.

Nassib is situational for the present. Another 10-20 pound of muscle and he'll start. Right now he struggles vs. the run.

France shocked me Week 2. Actually looked like he belonged out there... not used to seeing that in our Joe T. back-ups.

They aren't decent special teamers they are very good special teamers ... which is why they have lasted.

And Moore can fill in at WR OK as well. Carder isn't much of a Linebacker, but who is? Tuggle? Scooby?

You've got your starters, key backups and guys you have invested high draft picks in. Then the last five or six guys make it on special teams.

If we have future starter-level guys on the bottom 5 or six roster spots who can also excel on special teams, I will be excited to see Carder and Moore go. I don't think that is the case.

Even the New Englands and Pittsburghs of the world keep special team studs over projects. Projects will lose you games.

Key is "their guys". The current Browns FO is clearly more invested in "their guys"...as are most new FOs, and they want to see "their guys" make the team, over "the previous guy's guys).....especially if the previous guys guys were really not all that and a bag of chips.

The Browns FO is rebuilding. They have done it with the QBs, a lot of the rest of the offense, and the defense. Not sure why STs should be sacrosanct.

I just want them to get someone that can return a fucking kick.

Mostert also made tackles on the punt coverage team in both games. Averaging over 8 yards a carry in the first preseason game probably helped his chance of making the team. .

                        Notes/Questions on the Depth chart/team:

                        1. To me, it seems that besides Nassib, the best performing rookie so far this year has been Kindred. Anyone agree?

                        2. WTF is going on with Armonty Bryant. He is listed as backup DE.....but is anyone counting on him. Still no word from the league on suspension?

                        3. Gordon listed as 4th string? I guess he has a lot to prove to this coaching staff.

                        4. They have Coleman as our #1 punt returner. Is he supposed to get a crack at doing that before the regular season starts?

                        5. Seth DeValve, 7th string TE. 7th string. I didn't know that a team could actually go down to a 7th string.

Wasnt Armonty Bryant injured last year..?

No....that was 2014 when he was hurt.....last year was the ill advised "lets turn our promising DE into an OLB experiment"...

Did you watch last week......surprising as it was, Carder was the best LB on the field......

Of course, that says as much about the team, as it does him.....but, this preseason, he is making a strong argument to make the final roster.....(and due to his play on the field, more than just ST)

So it looks like we should have Gordon and Coleman back in for three quarters to go along with Pryor on the outside. Add in Barnidge and that's 4 very solid targets. Time to see if what looks very promising on paper adds up to anything on the grass.

Glad to see Telfer listed as the #2 TE.. here's hoping Hue wakes up and sees every TE as more NFL-ready than our current FB's..

No way Nassib is behind Hayden at this point.. Look for Hayden to be released sometime soon..

Who is this Dan France character, and why aren't Bailey/Drango being groomed to at least be backups to both..

So would Tefler be glad as he presently the #3.

Nassib is situational for the present. Another 10-20 pound of muscle and he'll start. Right now he struggles vs. the run.

France shocked me Week 2. Actually looked like he belonged out there... not used to seeing that in our Joe T. back-ups.

Agree-a very pleasant surprise for a guy with 2 years on practice squads. Must be pretty athletic since he started 3 years on his H.S. basketball team.

Devalve was injured up until a week more ago, so he is behind. His major input may not come until next year.

I don't why people think Marlon Moore is a joke or something, not only is he our top special teamer, but he proved last year to be a tough receiver when given a chance.

And I'd do it again.. Neither are capable backups. They have shown repeatedly they cannot play the game at an NFL level.

Carder/Moore may be decent at ST, but you can't afford roster spots for purely ST players when your starters aren't good enough. When we don't have a good roster, you have to take a shot at a developmental/"potential" player who may become a baller. Or, at least, starter-level..

Did you watch last week......surprising as it was, Carder was the best LB on the field......

Of course, that says as much about the team, as it does him.....but, this preseason, he is making a strong argument to make the final roster.....(and due to his play on the field, more than just ST)

                                  He's better than Gabriel.

                                  Runs tough routes. He's a viable #4

Speaking of taking chances on players who can be a star down the line... How about a back-of-the-roster year of Karlos Williams, the Buffalo guy who beat out Shady but can't stop eating?

These are unofficial depth charts created and distributed by the media department. They are not the charts Hue Jackson is using. I get them from the Browns media e-mail distro.
