Political Discussion

  • Complaining about victimization while playing the victim.

  • No cal woodys right. U want the freedom to discriminate based on ur religious views. The fact that kim davis is brought up immediately disqualifies from rational discussion. Conservatives want to protect the ability of another conservative holding public office to refuse her duries based on her religious views. Not only that, kim davis forbid deputy clerks from issuing the liscenses. I can only imagine the sputtering rage if someone with a liberal bent in public office not only refused to do their jobs but forbid their entire office to do their jobs based on some liberal viewpoint that was currently not lawful. There would be calls for an execution just as conservatives have called for hillary to be strung up in the national mall.

  • laws should not be created that force Christians to disavow their beliefs.

That tells you it's a bad law. The gay perversion of Real Marriage is a bad law.

All you had to do was create civil unions, and there would be no problem.

Kim Davis would surely have no problem with issuing civil union licenses.

See? No, of course you don't. You don't want to. The law itself is discriminatory,

and an unjust intrusion into the private lives of people.

  • Religious Law shouldn't outweigh Country Law

  • Fuck Kim Davis, fat bitch has had like 7 husbands

  • when "country law" violates the Constitution, it's a bad law

The first amendment to the US Constitution states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" The two parts, known as the "establishment clause" and the "free exercise clause" respectively, form the textual basis for the Supreme Court's interpretations ...

  • so no problem with Sharia Law either?

Or a Satanist for that matter. You don't get to be issued a marriage license unless you sacrifice a goat and listen to Black Sabbath records backwards with the county clerk.

  • When Kim Davis refused to issue gay marriage licenses guess who went to jail? I understand why (because you can't have government employee officials refusing to obey government laws) but many of the same libs rooting for her going to jail stand silent while government employee leaders in sanctuary cities ignore federal laws without going to jail. This is what bothers me. Selective enforcement of our laws. Every leader in every sanctuary city refusing to obey federal laws regarding immigration should pay the same price Kim Davis did and go to jail.

What law did Congress make that violates the first amendment?

  • The sticking point in this and plenty of other areas is that some people want to see the country run by christian rule, and get bent out of shape when it's not.

That does seem to be a problem.

Yep. Christianity has been the end all, be all for this country's existence. And now that we're leveling the playing field, it is viewed as an attack on Christianity.

  • when Christians are forced to close their businesses or else violate their LEGIMATELY

held Christian beliefs, that's a war on Christians.

When Christian children are NOT ALLOWED TO PRAY IN SCHOOL ON THEIR OWN TIME,

    LIKE BEFORE LUN CH...

    that's a war on Christianity.

When churches are FORCED TO PROVIDE ABORTION INSURANCE AND FORCED TO PERFORM GAY

PERVERTED CEREMONIES... that's a war on Christianity.

When all Christians have to stop being Christians or else leave their government jobs, that's a war on Christianity.

The list goes on and on. What it is, isn't "live and let live". It's the liberal/progressive/leftist gov saying "we aren't like you

and we have the "power" to force you to be like us, so we can control you and win politically forever".

    they think. The pendulum swings.

  • Ok. Got it. We need to go protect sharia law as well then.

  • Woodpecker - he has got to go!! But how?? Any suggestions ...

    5. The NBA announced that it will not hold next year's All-Star game in Charlotte, North Carolina unless the state changes HB2, the Bathroom Privacy Act.
    6. The Department of Education has decided that, "Religious schools that receive federal money yet obtain federal exemptions to [allegedly!] discriminate against LGBT students and employees will have their waivers posted online for public view."
    7. As reported on Breitbart News, "a federal court sided with a transgender student who insisted that the Obama administration's reading of federal Title IX rules would allow her to choose her own bathroom at her Virginia high school."

  • obaMao doesn't wait for congress to make a law, he does it.
