There is something deep inside human beings that crave miracles. Christianity itself is based on miracles. Jesus was a miracle and really every answer to prayer today is a miracle. The problem though is trying to seek a sign and that is what gets many into trouble. I can tell someone right now how they can experience the greatest miracle of all (read the written word of God the bible) but there are some who are just like Jesus talked about thousands of years ago they have to see to believe...God wants us to believe without seeing..If you read the bible with the attitude God says it, I believe it and that settles it you will live a life of miracles...
"and they went forward and preached everywhere the Lord working with them and confirming the word with signs following"...

What you see is people worshipping anything out of fear and trying to control the unknown, sure. Rain god, sun god, moon god, earth god, everything god, nothing god. Everything is up for worship, as people try to explain things as whichever deity interfering in everyday life.

What you see is people worshipping anything out of fear and trying to control the unknown, sure. Rain god, sun god, moon god, earth god, everything god, nothing god. Everything is up for worship, as people try to explain things as whichever deity interfering in everyday life.

The deep seated hunger in the human heart for God is the reason for all religions. The love of the miraculous is not a mark of ignorance but an outreaching for an unseen God. It is not a mark of great scholarship to deny the miraculous. Jesus' life was a miracle. His teachings were miraculous, His death and resurrection was a miracle. Every person who is "born again" is a miracle. Christianity is not a religion but the life of God in man.

Oh ok then, miracles happen! rejoice!" than you are to up and disavow the miracles because all logic, reason and the laws of nature preclude them from ever happening and the only 'proof' you have is a millennia-old book.

My wife had a tumor that came up on an ultra sound with her pregnancy and she asked for prayer from the church and the very next ultra sound they could not find the tumor which the doctor had claimed before was the size of a grapefruit. The doctor kept looking over and over for the tumor and kept saying to the nurse it couldn't have just disappeared...well it did.
