is there much difference between picking #1 overall vs. #2 overall? Is there a consensus player that we absolutely have to have at #1 that for sure will not be there at #2?

  • With our luck, RG3 will come back and we'll win 3 of the last 4, giving the FO false hope and changing their draft/FA strategy to build around the glass framed QB.

    That does actually concern me.

Have you not been paying attention on this Board: A Quarterback.

SF needs Garrett more than they need a QB.

Not so Gip. The "projection" factors in the current records of teams the Browns & 49ers have yet to play. Of course, the assumption includes the Browns winning a game somewhere. Doesn't matter that much about the extra game the Browns have played.

Subject to change, every Atlanta, Arizona (man, they're sucking) & Seattle win helps the Browns. I'll update as needed.

I don't think so. You said that Browns opponents have won 60 games thus far, and the 49ers foes have 54 The Browns have played 12 opponents. the 49ers have played only 11 opponents.

So, perhaps we should look at it like this:

Average number of wins of Browns opponents: 5 60/12. Average number of wins by 49ers opponents: 4.909. So, yes, for now the 49ers would have a better run.....but they also have a stronger remaining schedule I believe.

You're a little confused on how I came up with that number Gip. It's not "thus far". I also counted in the current record (read that wins) of teams the Browns and 49ers have yet to play. It's projected over the entire 17 week season. Will that # change? Of course, but it's at least a measuring stick.

What kills the Browns vs. 49ers on SOS, is San Fran has played (or will) the 4 win X2 Rams, 4 win X2 Cardinals, the 4 win Panthers, and the 2 win Bears. (Jets doesn't count, because it's a common opponent & that's true of all common opponents.)

Teams we want to see win- Cardinals, Carolina, Tampa, Saints, Bears, Rams, Falcons, Seahawks (except when they play San Fran)

Teams we want to see lose- Eagles (double because we have their first round) , Titans (double because we have their second round) , Redskins, Giants, Ravens, Chargers, Bengals, Steelers (LOL, except when they play the Browns)

Probably....because they have Kaepernick. Who I think can still be a quality QB with enough around him.

But, here's the thing.....the 9ers would probably want to extract something significant from the Browns for them not to take Trubisky. ....even if they didn't really want him....fair to say?

They would want our young guys to look like that Jacksonville GM from Draft Day.

    Cincy because of injuries.

Coming off our bye, depends if the Bengals have mailed it in- the Browns probably haven't- too hungry for a win. I could see that game as a pick 'em, or even have the Browns slightly favored. Might have a shot at the Chargers too.

I give the Browns about zero odds of pulling out a win against the Bills in Buffalo, and especially against the Steelers on the road if they're fighting for a playoff spot.

hahahaha.....it's so sad that we keep having the discussion about "which team" we might be able to beat....

This started with game #1, I believe, when it was said that Philly was our best chance to win....then it was the Skins, then the Titans, then the Bungles, then the Jets, then the Ravens, then the Giants.....and now, who?.....the Bungles again?.....and then the Chargers?

Keep pickin em guys.....your bound to get it eventually..... 😉

There's always opening day 2017 Mud. I just looked up the Vegas odds. I'm no gambler, but does this mean a $10 buck bet week four could have netted you $20,000 if they lose out? Hoorta needs a new car.

"Just how bad could this Browns season be? Online sportsbook Sports Interaction is offering odds on Cleveland going winless this year, as oddsmakers have tabbed the Browns with a +145 chance of finishing 0-16. Entering Week 4, those odds were available at +2000.

According to Prediction Machine, the Browns have a 23.4 percent chance of losing every game from here on out. The highest probability is one win (39.7 percent), followed by two wins (26.8)."

The only way I will be able to say "I told you so" is to keep picking against the next opponent the rest of the year. 😆

That does give us a better chance to win. But, we have injury issues as well. I'm hoping for the win but the bungholes still have a better O and D line. A better chance to win? Yes. A good chance to win? Doubt it.
