New Assistant Coaches

The Browns Board

  • Wow! Can he pull a rabbit outa his hat or what?

  • Well, we don't have an OL coach. So we need to sign one. If he's center stage, and not a side-show act, then sign him up and get him set up for the senior bowl.

  • Report: Bob Wylie to re-unite with Hue Jackson as #Browns OL coach

#Browns reportedly hiring Blake Williams and Jerod Kruse as defensive assistants

    1) Hue Jackson Reunited with Horton............................ 10 months ago you homosexuals were jerking each other off telling me how much this connection, familiarity, etc. was going to really shoot us light speed to FINALLY HAVING THAT PACKAGE.................Yawn......................Horton is a scapegoat now.................

    2) Hue Jackson........... FELL IN LOVE with RG3....................They gave each other soul blowjobs all year long and tatooed 1-15 on each other's nutsack

    3) Hue Jackson is NOW................. REUNITING with another one of his kindred spirit.............

    This fucking franchise is pathetic.

    #2 Hahahahahahahahahahha fucking hilarious

  • Right.....staffs have approx 20+ coaches......plus we've switch a number of position coaches along the way.....

So.....my math says that the Browns have hired/fired somewhere in the area of 100+ coaches since Haslam took over....plus or minus a few...

Factor in the scouting dept and the numbers double......

Hundredzzzzzzzzz........eventually, we should get to the good ones, yes?

  • I agree with ghoolie somewhat here, I think Hue will likely be more trouble than he is worth and we are in the process of looking at other coaching options aswell as reducing Hue's input on the team building side of things.

  • Bob Wylie coached my dad on the O line in the 80s when my pops played for the Ohio Bobcats. Small world.

  • Bob Wylie sounds like a super nice guy and Gregg Williams sounds like a real cunt. Little bit of good cop bad cop lol

YES YES YES........................................ THAT IS THE FUCKING SOLUTION.......................... THE OFFENSIVE LINE.......................

OH MY GOD..........................WHY DIDN'T WE THINK OF THIS EARLIER................................

OFFENSIVE LINE.......................... BOY, THATS SOMETHING THE BROWNS HAVEN'T ALREADY WASTED TOO MUCH TIME ON.

OH YEAH, THIS GUY IS GOING TO TURN IT ALL AROUND. WOW...........EXCITING, EXCITING.

All caps what an idiot !

  • Looks like Clyde Simmons will be taking over as DL Coach

The Cleveland Browns have hired Clyde Simmons to coach the defensive line according to Alex Marvez of Sirius XM NFL Radio. Simmons was the assistant defensive line coach for the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams for the past five seasons under defensive coordinator Gregg Williams.

Simmons previously served under Rex Ryan with the New York Jets as well.

During his playing career, the Western Carolina product played with the Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati Bengals and Chicago Bears. The led the NFL in sacks with 19 during the 1992 season with the Eagles. He would finish 11th on the all-time sack list with 121.5. He was a ninth-round pick (No. 233) in the 1986 NFL Draft. He made two Pro Bowl appearances over the course of his 15-year career.

Robert Nunn is currently serving as the team's defensive line coach. Ken Delgado is the assistant coach currently serving under him.

    Mud,

there are two sides of this coin, and I believe a guiding force that is still absent from the Browns FO.

No sane person can argue that consistency is an integral of success. On the flip side staying committed to failing systems and individuals will never change the outcome to a positive one. As you pointed out tongue-in-cheek, we have been through hundreds of coaches. So let me spell out what some may not pick up in your post. How the hell can the Browns have gone through 100's of coaches and wound up with all bad ones? The answer of course, is that they couldn't. Nobody could. Missing that many times is just as impossible as picking the right person each time.

    So what is the problem?

    .....................................................

Just preachin to the choir.....we agree on more points than not.....

and Haslams choices just seem to be getting worse as we go......

  • Some like to compare us to the steelers.

    They've had one owning family.

From 1933 to 1969 they sucked.

Therefore, they had a sucky owner for 36 years. (16 HC hirings in that time frame. 1 guy was hired 3 different times - go figure)

Then that sucky owner hired Chuck Noll.

And shortly thereafter he wasn't a sucky owner any more.

Greg Seamon, TEs Coach ------> Quarterback's Coach

Mark Hutson, Asst. OL Coach ---------> Tight end's Coach

Hue Jackson ----------> Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Chief Cook and Bottle Washer

Seems he dills more confident now with Williams on D, and year under his belt, to dig deeper into the day-to-day operations of the offense and is not replacing Pep.

He's All In. should be interesting.
