Well I was just giving you shit stay cool. Ya Tom Brady is the shit doesn't mean I have to like him.

^^^ Beat me to it- just because he conclusively stamped himself as the GOAT- ^^^^ doesn't mean I have to like him.

(I put this as an answer on another thread but it seems to fit better here. 😉 )

Amen. Somehow chokers just find a way to not disappoint us. But all media is talking about how the two most notorious recent day cheaters who blatantly lie about cheating are now also the GOAT.

Amazing isn't it how those 4 punishment games off for Brady so he could play with his wife and rest up might have given him the extra gas in his tank to make it through the whole long SB season.

    Ever think about that?

  • What bullshit, even against a tired defense he got stupidly lucky he wasn't picked on that Edelman catch

  • He's the GOAT. If I had any doubts prior to the game (which I don't think I did), they were absolved last night. Some of those throws he made in the 4th quarter and OT were just...wow.

  • Hence the reason we must go QB at 1, the QB won out over the DL.

  • goat_roar_by_fbcota.jpg

  • So we (the dumb general public) get to overlook the Hoodie who's motto forever which is "if you're not cheating you're not trying" and the greatest QB ever had badly under inflated football's in his very experienced hands having thrown thousands of footballs in his lifetime...but won't ever admit he knew about it?

Yes it must be absolutely true winning conquers all. 😉

    ....hey it sounds good.

Brady is the GOAT. How he was picked in the 6th round shows you how stupid these draft gurus are.

No one saw him coming... not even the Pats.

Arthur. I've got 3 copies of it including 40th and 50th anniversary. One of those great American novels.

Next question. On whom did she base the character of Dill?

    Game of inches.

The David Tyree catch in Super Bowl 42. Welker just missing that ball in Super Bowl 46.

Yes, game of inches. Every game the Pats have played have been last second wins.

They could actually have gone 0-7 easily enough. Just pointing out...they had big big breaks to win some of those games.

Adam Vinatieri could have been Scott Norwood a couple of times.

It took the dumbest call in the history of football to get their Seattle win.

    And then this thing yesterday.

Yes, there were definitely some Marty Schottenhemier moments going on there.

  • And, oh yea. The GOAT:

    Otto Graham.

Two more titles and Brady will tie him.

  • This whole thread is gay.

Otto Graham is the gold standard.

Brady is greatest in Super Bowl era, just don't be all gay about it. He's an opponent, hopefully we rip his spleen out of his ass next year if the Patriots are lucky enough to get back to the playoffs.

Yup, the undisputed GOAT of leather helmets and jock straps.

Call us when someone catches up.

But, you bring up a good point. OG only did it in an 11 year career. He had accomplished so much that he retired. (He could actually get paid more doing something else in those days). Plus, he played in time when QBs didn't wear skirts...or were given a protective bubble the way they are now.

So, not only was he better, won more....he was tougher.

  • @boo-fagley said:

    Yeah, its all cheating.

2016 marks the 7th straight season winning at least 12 games. Forget all the good players that have come and gone and the coaches and front office who have moved on with their careers. The Falcons GM used to work for the Patriots.

Accomplishments agreed, shady dude at least from a personality standpoint he's the undisputed heavyweight champion. (my Midwest bias showing 😆 )

  • @boo-fagley said:

Inst it amazing that the hundreds of NE players that have gone to other teams or retired and not even 1 has come out and stated that NE tampers with the footballs?

Financial suicide if you become a big rat, those easy money endorsements will evaporate and you won't be exactly welcome in some locker rooms.

Tight fraternity that shield can be.

  • @boo-fagley said:

It never comes down to just 1 play or 1 bad call.

Brady hung 14 in the 2nd half on a Seattle defense that averaged 17 points per game. You make your own breaks in sports.

What the fuck are you talking about?

You kick a game winning field goal...it comes down to one play.

You pick off a pass that would have been the game winning TD....it came down to one play.

ONE play can and does make a difference in games like these.

Sure, there are hundreds of other plays in a game that all "count" to the final result....but the execution that does or does not occur on one play does make a difference between winning and losing.

I mean, sure, you can that it does not come down to one play when the 49ers beat the Broncos 55-10.

But in every single Pats game, it came down to one play.

You admitted that when you said that but for the Eli throw/Tyrell catch, the Pats would have won. Same for the Eli/Manningham catch.

If the Giants don't execute on that one play in each of those games....the Pats win.

I remember the last playoff game the Browns were in. Browns have a lead. If they can get a first down, they salt away the game because they can run out the clock. Pass from Kelly Holcomb to Dennis Northcutt. Northcutt out and out drops it. It would have been a first down. If he catches it....game over, Browns win. He drops it. Browns punt....Steelers take it down in like final minute to win the game...which would have been over with the clock run out.

One play can count for everything.

Yesterday, was no different. Play 60 minutes and let the chips fall where they may. Most teams would have quit being down 25 points. All the whining about hocus pocus rabbit feet and 4 leaf clovers are weak.

Well...it seemed like one team did quit....but it was the one up by 25 points.
