Hue Jackson's Jet's Presser

If you don't have a viable alternative then hush with the Hue whining. We're stuck with him.

This.
The alternative is to get someone else to do the explain-the-loss-away in the post game pressers. This roster is garbage. Might as well let Hue-Hue ride this thing all the way to hell.

we are stuck with him for the year.....but we certainly can find plenty of other people who want the job and are qualified candidates at the end of the year.
Also, changing the head coach doesn't mean 'starting over'. It doesn't mean we scratch this rebuild and start a new one. We can still develop the mostly crappy players we draftd over the last couple of years. Just with a hc who hasnt proven himself to lose 90% of his nfl games.

we will....all the way to hell is 3-29 or so in 32 games.
And yes the roster is garbage. But even with a garbage roster you don't win 1 of 21 games in the nfl. That just doesnt happen.

The stupidity of this fanbase is astounding. Yeah let's scrap all the work we've done to conform our team to Hue and Williams' system just so, as Marc1971, we can watch some other bum crying at the podium trying to explain away a loss in two years. How do you guys actually enjoy that process? Is it so hard to grow some nuts and wait it out for a few years?
When it's obvious we have talent to win (and it's not) and Hue is AT THAT TIME not winning (think Rams last year with Fisher, Raiders in 2015, etc.), THEN we can talk about firing him.
Also you've listed no one that is a viable candidate who we have any reason to believe is any better than Hue. Saying "well we can certainly find someone" isn't going to cut it.
Grow a pair.

After 1-20, forgive me if I didn't read past that ^

Is it really that difficult to tell what QB gives this team the best chance to win? What have we learned about arm strength when it's crippled by blindfolds and dyslexia? There's no Kenny Britt to blame everything on this time.
We are now 4-38 in our last 42 games. When do you say we make winning a little more urgent?

you dont seem to get it. Even with a paucity of talent(and we do have a paucity of talent), you CAN STILL EVALUATE the head coach. If he were 6-15, I could maybe see your point. After all, plenty of teams with shitty players go 4-12 or whatever. But when you are 1-20, thats historically bad.
and there is nothign unique to hue's system that matches up with these players. Another coach can implement his system with them just as easily.
Your fallacy is in assuming hue has made some progress. He hasn't. So there is nothing lost. What we do know is that at 1-20 he hasn't been a positive difference maker.
-
Im sure the vastly uninformed will want williams gone at the end of the year too. Omg our front 4 isnt generating enough pressure get rid of gregg!!! Well yeah he's got a first round pick at 75% perhaps less, and 3 well below avg DE's that might be 3rd stringers on other not so good teams.
There is a consistent talent gap on this team that is vexing. We used to think it was the cosches but when u break film down u can see it aint the scheme. These guys just hardly ever "beat their man". You cant scheme primary DL into the Qb. At some point someone has to beat a tackle around the edge or blow up an interior gap etc, etc
-
The word paucity doesn't make you sound nearly as smart as you think it does, hoss.
Yes, 1-20 is historically bad. BUT, OUR TEAM IS HISTORICALLY UNTALENTED.

A proper thesaurian substitute to describe this team however, well played

last year it wasnt any worse than a few other teams in terms of talent. this year most of the experts dont/didnt think it was any worse than the other 3-4 worst teams.
The point is that if you lose a historic rate of games for two straight years, we *know* you arent a positive difference maker. So no harm in firing him.
Nobody is blaming hue for us sucking. We get that we dont have the players. But 1-20 is still 1-20. You don't lose games at that rate in the nfl for two seasons and get a third. Thats not a browns policy...thats just an every team in the nfl policy.

Well the stupidity with the fan base obviously starts ^here^
We just watched QB that we got rid of win his 3rd straight game with a team about the same amount of talent on offense as we do. Umm Fisher an overrated coach still won games with the Rams. Viable candidates when you are 1 and 20 and continually make moronic decisions everyone is viable.

How is it better?

I'm guessing our 0-5 record would argue with you.
