Shmuck me. Just keep hue. Let him grow as a coach here. Stop turning on every guy that doesnt deliver immediate results. If we had a team thst was loaded with SB talent, fine....u can say a coaching change gets them over.
Thats not the case here, it just isnt

he pretty much sucks at coaching....don't see him ever getting the clowns to the sb or even the playoffs. however, it is not all his fault...You can put alot of blame on the dumbass analytic morons, chachi and lamebrane for the shitty butt players they have drafted., and of course the biggest pooper of all...the faaaaacking owner..
I somewhat....but not completely disagree. I think there IS talent on this team. Enough talent that, imo, this team could be like .500 or close with proper instruction and coaching and decision making. That said, yes, there are some deficiencies....glaring ones....and those ARE the responsibility of the FO. Clearly QB is #1. They don't have a good one and got rid of guys who would at least potentially be capable steady veteran presences on this team: McCown and B.O. They have cacked up furballs at the WR position.....and have deficiencies in the defensive backfield.....though I will say that they played OK yesterday.

are you friggin kidding me...we should have had either goff or wentz and building around them...look at what the rams and eagles are doing..they both sucked before they got their qb's and they have the gm knowledge on how to build around them...and they are not using Shmucking analytics...instead we have 3 horrible qb's that we are playing ring around the rosie with...boy, how is that working out for you...our ol...eh, did we not spend billions on a new ol.....coupled with crowell and his usual 17 carries for 53 yds, they suck....oh yeah, and by the way, how is kenny britt working out...i told gumball 73 what was going to happen there as he was pumping his boy.... as for..our defense...they are going to end up either 25 or lower by the end of the yr..they will be completely worn down and injuries will pile up...the Shmucking analytic morons should have picked goff or wentz....like terry bradshaw said last week, the browns fo are stupid...we have terrible mgmt and that is where it all starts mah man...it all flows down from the top......

Pass attempts: 3rd most in the NFL, 30TH IN YPA (plus 14 INTs, 6 more than the next worst). Rush attempts: 20th in NFL, 15th in YPC
Other division leaders:
Rams: 18th in pass atps, 7th in rushes, despite ranked 19th in ypc
Eagles: 12th in pass atps, 4th in rushes
Jags: 27th in pass atps, 1st in rushes
This speaks to playcalling. These teams with young QBs STRONGLY emphasize the run game, and throw the ball far less than we do with developing QBs. We should be closer to what the Jags do, but were calling plays like we have Aaron Rodgers. Its very frustrating.

the 3 qb's we have are terrible...they make bad decisions...i mean really bad decisions...i can't blame it all on the play calling...

Hello, McFly...is anybody fukcing home? I said there were a few areas of major deficiencies....most notably QB and WR....and you stupidly go off on me because of the QB and WR positions....which I just fukcing mentioned, ya dildo.

Certainly true.....but the operative word in your statement is "ALL".....but a significant portion of the blame CAN be put on play calling. So, when we have our HOF OT out...and they are their good pass rushers coming at our QB....what does our OC/HC call? Slow developing, play action passes. Instead of having the QB sit back in the shotgun and throwing quick slants to our TEs etc. he is calling plays that call for like 5 seconds of proper protection. THAT is what I call douchebag play calling....designed to fail under those circumstances. Sure....the LOT didn't protect for that time....and you claim you can't blame Hue for that failure. But......
I just don't think that Hue thinks about what is going on in the game. He has developed an offense and he has certain plays he wants to try out....and pays not one goddamned bit of attention to what is going on in the game. I swear to fuhucking God that is what is happening with him.
-
I thought Kessler did pretty well despite the pick.. He looks the most QB worthy of the lot
Yup.
And the pick...he threw that long ball into 3 defenders....but WAIT....what else could he have done? If he DOESN'T throw the ball long when Hue tells him to then he gets benched. He's much better off throwing the long INT than not. - That's what we've learned.
Here we go with people now screamin we shoulda neva let that chudzinski boy go, he was a good boy he was.

I was pissed when Jimmah fired them. We had Norv Turner as an OC. We had NO friggin' RB's (gimpy Willis MaGahee). The coaches were all told to 'be patient' about the roster for this year...but what happened? They all got fired. Pure impatience.
Shmuck me. Just keep hue. Let him grow as a coach here.

The friggin' GROUNDS KEEPER knows better than that...no? - All anyone had to see of Hue's ineptness at gameday decisions was the final two minutes of the first half of our first game against the Bengals in 2016. Totally, 100% mind boggling.
As I said earlier, Hue is the OC. Ya can't fire him right now anyhow. We've got to play out the season.

Ooh. Guy made a mistake. Stop traffic!
No, not 'a' mistake. He makes friggin' tons of 'em. His clock management, the play calls he makes when we get near the goal line... - I don't have 'em all committed to memory, but it's a ton. I don't like him as my game day coach.
I don't want to change coaches either. We do that waay too much. Ya can't get anything built that way. It's constantly being torn down. But I don't like the dumb decisions that he makes during games. And it's not like he's magically NOT gonna make any more dumb decisions. It's not like he's twelve years old and he's just learning the game of football.
I didn't like Pettine's game day calls either. The guy tried a 60 yard field goal with Devin Hester waiting at the goal line to return it. TWICE. The FIRST time the dumbass Atlanta coach called TO to ice our kicker so Pettine watched Hester catch the ball in the end zone. So Pettine, being unable to learn, did it again and Hester ALMOST took it to the house (thanks to Joel Bitonio who hit Hester when he zigged around the 20). - Mind you, a FG is NOT like a punt. There are no 'gunners'.
I don't like stupid game day coaches.

Hue gets at least another season to show improvement IF he can squeak out 2-3 wins this season..
Anything less and we will have yet another mediocre HC with no coaching experience...
Is Rob Chudzinski looking for another shot at being a head coach again?
More than one of us here thought Haslam canned Chud too soon, the guy bled brown & orange. Fit Ghooile's profile of an up and comer. Now Jimmy is between a rock and a hard place, stick with the plan, (because of past hair trigger reactions) or keep a coach that is showing signs of being the worst HC in Browns history.
This is getting so bad, it's starting to make me look with fondness on the days of old Pat Shure-loss.

I'm watching Wentz again. Whoever is responsible for not drafting him is fired. If Hue was part of that decision, pack your bags, a-hole. Wentz has the look of a championship qb. We have Kessler and Kizer. Everyone associated with those picks, or failing to draft Wentz and Watson, needs to be fired. The ONE POSITION we've needed for going on two decades is a QB. Obviously the people we have directing our franchise can't evaluate that particular position. Hey Sashi...bang up job so far buddy. Think he's a top 20 qb NOW, A-HOLE? Good riddance you jerk.

You haven't been paying attention......................we are amassing assets. We are stock-piling draft picks and packing our team with youth we can always get a QB and just plug him into this well-oiled machine we have built.
Also, don't you know, the draft classes of the last few years just didn't have any QB worth taking in a high position. These guys were just not right for our style. We're gonna get em next year. Remember, we have the best OL in the league and that is what is most important.

So right move, but wrong time... mmmkay...
But let's look at this awful decision you and others are criticizing...
- 1st Quarter
- Tennessee Titans at 15:00
- 5-Z.Gonzalez kicks 65 yards from CLE 35 to end zone, Touchback. PENALTY on CLE-24-I.Campbell, Offside on Free Kick, 5 yards, enforced at TEN 25.
- 1-10-TEN 30 (15:00) (Shotgun) 8-M.Mariota pass short middle to 18-R.Matthews to TEN 48 for 18 yards (24-I.Campbell).
- 1-10-TEN 48 (14:26) 29-D.Murray left guard to CLE 43 for 9 yards (26-D.Kindred).
- 2-1-CLE 43 (13:46) 29-D.Murray right tackle to CLE 43 for no gain (55-D.Shelton; 51-J.Collins).
- 3-1-CLE 43 (13:00) 22-D.Henry left tackle to CLE 41 for 2 yards (58-C.Kirksey; 95-M.Garrett).
- 1-10-CLE 41 (12:24) 29-D.Murray right guard to CLE 33 for 8 yards (90-E.Ogbah).
- 2-2-CLE 33 (11:50) (Shotgun) 8-M.Mariota pass short middle to 82-D.Walker to CLE 32 for 1 yard (95-M.Garrett). Shuffle Pass
- 3-1-CLE 32 (11:11) (Shotgun) 8-M.Mariota pass incomplete deep left to 81-J.Smith. Penalty on TEN-77-T.Lewan, Face Mask (15 Yards), declined.
- 4-1-CLE 32 (11:03) 22-D.Henry right guard to CLE 32 for no gain (53-J.Schobert). PENALTY on CLE-55-D.Shelton, Defensive Offside, 5 yards, enforced at CLE 32 - No Play.
- 1-10-CLE 27 (10:50) 29-D.Murray left end to CLE 25 for 2 yards (58-C.Kirksey).
- 2-8-CLE 25 (10:09) (Shotgun) 22-D.Henry right end to CLE 30 for -5 yards (58-C.Kirksey).
- 3-13-CLE 30 (9:25) (Shotgun) 8-M.Mariota pass short middle to 13-T.Taylor to CLE 25 for 5 yards (53-J.Schobert).
- 4-8-CLE 25 (8:42) 4-R.Succop 43 yard field goal is GOOD, Center-48-B.Brinkley, Holder-6-B.Kern.
- TEN 3 CLE 0 Plays: 11 Possession: 6:22
So in summary:
- TN has moved 37 yards in 9 plays to open the game and end up with 4th and 1 in position for a 49-yd FG by the league's leading Kicker.
- The TN HC eschews the FG attempt and instead runs his big back up the gut for no gain... our ball on downs... except...
- Our defender who is over the ball jumped offsides giving TN a new set of downs.
- With that new set of downs TN manages to gain a mere 5 yds and end up kicking a 43-yd FG... which would have been good from 49.
Or in Super-summary: Hue's horrendous, infantile, stupid decision carried absolutely no cost to his team.
What am I missing here?
I don't like stupid game day coaches.
As opposed to say.... stupid MMQBs?
Look I can't defend every decision, play call, challenge or time out Hue has made, but folks, including you, are being hypercritical here. And be it out of frustration or whatever... it's not right. It just isn't...

Hoping this is sarcasm otherwise agreeing with you is getting to be a habit. Please say something stupid soon so we can get back to normal. Thanks in advance...
I watched Wentz last nite... and I have to give him his props for what he does have going for him: Strength, calm, touch... actually reminded me of a young, Big Ben... but...
He locks onto one receiver from the snap on every play except when he is pressured in or out of the pocket. His TD pass to Coleman(?) on the play he brought from NDSU with him was the only time I saw him go to other than his first choice. Great throw under significant pressure, but only example of him coming off his first look that I can recall.
Against man coverage given time he simply waits for his receiver to beat his coverage... sometimes waiting all the way into a sack as we saw early. Now given the way his receiving cosps is rounding into form, this is not the worst plan in the world, but it's still not the stuff Elite QB play is made of... nor franchise...
Really want to see him go against a tough zone team... where CBs and S's can flow to the receiver to whom they see him first cast his eyes. Looks to be what KC did to him in their Week 2 win on at least one of the two WRs in half-man/half-zone looks. Looked to go man on the slot(s). The Chiefs also doubled Ertz... a lot.
Looking down the road PHI vs. DNV and SEA tests are looming.
The kid may yet be great, but I'm not anointing him yet...
