Hue most likely gone now....

Arguing as to whether Barberton, Youngstown or Wadsworth are better places to live, is like arguing who among Oprah, Whoopie and Joy Behar you would rather have sex with.

I could be wrong but this might be the earliest that folks have given up on the Browns and, instead, focus on Cities, Towns, Sausage, etc. Anything except football. Sheesh

Have we ever gotten a straight answer as to who picks the quarterbacks besides consensus of a faceless Legion of underlings?
Why ask a question that contains your answer?
Would we be any better or worse had someone not made the decision to sign Kenny Britt? Why would cutting veteran quarterbacks be any different?
Ah.... another "riff" report. How many is that now this season?

On paper Britt worked. Who would thought he would be so bad? He just came off a 1000 yard season.
Precisely... plus we had an insider in Gregg Williams for any hint of locker room cancer that WSS's article references.

No Doubt. Seem like it might have been an okay idea at the time to play Kenny Britt. There were also, as I recall a bunch of questions as to whether he was worth even having at the outset. Same thing with Pryor which turned out to be the same deal. Unfortunately you can make excuses till the cows come home for every unsuccessful player coach or team in the league and at the end of the day guys still get fired for bad luck.
But if you are asking me if we'd be better or worse without the decisions of the faceless shadow figures in the fo as to the quarterback situation I'd say better and if not lots better at least somewhat better or no worse.
Personally I would not have taken Kizer.
I would have Josh McCown and two of the three others. I would look toward getting a quarterback to gamble with in 18.
PS as to your consensus Theory I think we know enough about human nature to realize you can't have six guys agree on anything. So I would more lean toward the coaches decisions as to who he wants playing on his field. If that's not happening, and nobody knows if it is or not, then failure is sure to follow.

I was listening to Beau Bishop on the drive home today. He was talking about this very subject. He said that Greg Williams told Sashi & Co. to avoid Britt at all costs. Obviously, his warnings fell on deaf ears.

The Havaad boys think they are smarter than everybody else. But there is a huge difference between smart and having good sense.

Johnny Boy, wouldn't we first have to actually have a football team to talk football? This franchise is so unbelievably bad, even I had to let up on it a bit.
-
Who's the last Browns HC with previous HCing experience (and Hue's interim year doesnt really count)?
I'll wait...
That's right, it's all been "up and coming" coordinators sans Butch Davis who only had 5 or 6 years of college experience and has been our most successful HC since '99.
I get that's the normal progression for coaches, but I also think of guys like Andy Reid, Pete Carroll or even John Fox who can show up and very quickly turn a team around.
I'd be more comfortable with an experienced NFL HC or even an experienced college guy. Gotta try something different... right?

Now that IS funny. That's how bad we are. lol
Reality is, we're only a passing attack away from being a solid, competitive team. But because it's a passing league...and you can't make a living being a running team...without a passing attack you're like the Black Knight of Monty Python's Holly Grail.

Gotta weed the Bums out, but its hard to spot the Bums with bad QB play.
IMO, these guys like getting into a rhythm.
Britt is already in a rhythm, "1$, 2$, 3$................1Mil$, 2Mil$.................17Mil$..............." and counting.

cause he got 1,2,3,4,5,6 or 17 m's in his bank acct

Some of you guys have a really bizarre fetish for not firing a coach, as if continuity guarantees anything. You guys are crippled with euphemisms...........
amassing assets - building for the future - you don't keep changing coaches...........
If you think about your own experiences in life, no doubt you have lived to learn that generalizations are more often than not errant. Where is it written that the way to win is to keep your HC no matter how bad he is? What kind of logic is that? Right before your very eyes you have seen that Hue Jackson is incompetent. He is without argument the dumbest coach in the NFL, and he does not have the skill set to ever be a successful head coach.
But that doesn't matter because many of you think that if you squeeze a turd hard enough it will turn into a diamond.
If your justification for not firing Hue is a euphemism of "we can't fired coaches all the time", then you truly have no ability to think for yourself. Hue Jackson blows. For the love of God, there is not reason to keep this turd
And war said you had relapsed? Not on this one. He absolutely sucks as a game day coach. No getting around it. So many bad redzone calls, so many wasted TOs and poor clock management, so many head scratchers like not taking the 15 yarder this week. So much QB waffling. He just sucks.

Oh it's coming. You can already see the progression. He'll be calling you profanities in no time.

You think we haven't gotten one for lack of trying? Give me a break. They don't want to come here because they'd be fired in two years. John Fox would have already been fired.

I am going to be up to watch this football game. Home made waffles, chunk bacon, homefries, and my new browns shirt. This team is like having a rash on your nuts. You can't get rid of either.

Is that kickoff time too early to drink after the first Hue screwup? I'm thinkin' maybe 5 or 10 mins. in.

Met Lawson Holland yesterday.. He was the tight ends coach for the Redskins back in '02, was also the Tight Ends coach back in '96 for the Florida Gators.
He is the Dept. Chair of Sports Tourism at the college I work at.
Anyways, he told me he worked with Hue Jackson when he was the running backs coach for the Skins.
He said he is a very one way type of guy.. Good coach he said, but tough to work with..
This wouldn't surprise me as to why he is failing in Cleveland.. And also the fact that he is a shittty head coach of a shittty team

& that's CDT for you Ag, 8:30 in the morning.. Ha, since my pal's house that I usually watch the games at is undergoing a total kitchen redo, I'm going to sleep in and watch the game on tape delay. No commercials.

No it isn't. Because YOU would do any of those 3. There are good and bad parts of all those towns. (but, in reality....if you compare income and avg. housing values....Wadsworth would be far, far above the other two)

I'll be getting up at 6 to watch this shit show this weekend. The positive thing is that the Browns will be done by the time the real NFL teams play so I'll get to watch good football all day long and not have it interrupted by these dorks.

Vegas odds are
+38
-38
Over/under is 38 Pts
+9.5 Browns +350 moneyline
-9.5 Vikings -460 moneyline
Cleveland is 1-11-1 against the spread in the last 13 games when facing teams with winning records, and has covered just six times in the previous 30 games following a straight-up defeat. So it’s no surprise that 78 percent of Sports Interaction bettors are laying the points.
My vote is OVER on points.
