I am looking forward to the Steelers physically asspounding the Pats today. Approximately 50% of N.E. Ohio fans are now Steeler fans. I think a 7th Superbowl not only solidifies the Steelers as the greatest football team of all time, but also probably gives Steeler fans the homefield advantage in Cleveland stadium. Seriously, Steeler fans overtake the place. Hate the Steelers all you want, but they have better fans, and more fans. These guys would never accept the crap Browns fans accept. This is a true example of the 12th man advantage.
As one of the greatest Browns fan on earth, I want what is best for the Browns brand. I want to see the team taken out of shidthole Cleveland. Seriously, there is no reason for the city of Cleveland to have an NFL team. Nostalgia is just not enough. This rebuild nonsense needs to stop.

NFL Championships in the 60s and 50s are no more "leather helmet" than the Steelers titles of the 70s.

Otto Graham vs. Terry Bradshaw? No contest.
Marion Motley vs. Franco Harris? Franco was a Khunt who ran out of bounds.

Seen it so much - the steelers defense gets "offensive interference" when they need it...and DO NOT get called on
FLAGRANT pi when they do it. on and on it goes. I think one of the refs of the squealer-patriot game wasn't afraid
of goodhell - he called on on the steeler db, and holding once, on the squealer oline. They get away with holding like I have
never seen any other team get away with it.

Then the refs won the game last week for the Packers vs. the Browns. Two pretty clear Pass Interferences on Gordon that were not called....one of which would have possibly been a TD. Blocking in the back and holding not called on that big punt return.
The Steelers have gotten way, way, way more than their share of lucky calls from the refs.
In fact, wasn't there a horrendously bad call in their favor in the first game of this year, which essentially allowed them to win by 3 pts. vs. the Browns?
So...if the refs won that game for the Pats....then the score is like 500-1 now rather than 500-0 in the Steelers favor.

We all went decade after decade of knowing what a catch was...... even a casual fan could watch a replay or maybe 2 and say "yup, that's a catch". Now we have announcers that played the game at the NFL level for years not knowing what a catch is.
The NFL needs to go back to what worked for years and shitcan this whole "control the ball to the ground through the process" (< God I hate that phrase) crap, and give the game back to the players and fans and away from the refs.

And years ago (wisely) dumped his season tickets. I'm in a different situation. Stan was way up in the corner end zone opposite the Dawg Pound. Those tickets can easily be replaced. Mine? 100 level 20 yard line. No one, and I mean no one is just walking away from their PSLs there. Proof of that is we've put in for seat improvement for the last five years, and gotten nowhere. I hope Jimmy noticed all the purple in the lower deck yesterday, and the nearly empty upper deck.

I believe that for a variety of reasons, including years of influence of guys like Deiken, Brown and Kosar upon unsavvy owners this franchise has a culture that believes the attention should be placed on the OL, defense, trading away high picks for many low picks, and purposely avoiding to participate in drafting of of top offensive playmakers.
This is the exact opposite of how Paul Brown built his Browns. Sadly, the fan base supports and believes in this.
The new GM is Phil Sewage reincarnated. NOTHING WILL CHANGE IN 2018. Just watch.
I want to see the Browns fold. I want to see the name lost forever and football removed from the city of Cleveland. I really do. Honestly.

OK, I'll cancel 'em the minute you write me a check for $20,000 so I can buy 'em back in the same section when the Browns start winning. That would make me a FRAK- in Gip's terminology. So stuff it. You don't just walk away from 35 years worth of seniority- probably longer than you've been alive.

As for Ghoolies point, is it that Browns fans are too complacent or that Browns fans are unworthy? Because by that logic if the fans all boycott the team would move, so, being complacent is what would be keeping them in Cleveland. Hence the Browns would always be losers in Cleveland. When the Browns are playing great, you can sell seats in our section for 2.5X face value, to show you the current level of suckage- for the Ravens game you were getting 30 cents on the dollar, if you could even unload them at any price. Season ticket holders in our class are the most loyal fans out there. There's thousands of folks in the primo sections who outrank us in seniority, their grandparents were season ticket holders from day one. I'll complain all I want to about the crap product. & if you don't like it, then put me on ignore. You're probably the type of person who wouldn't complain to the manager when you got lousy service or a $hitty meal at a restaraunt. The complaining will stop, I'd guess in the unlikely event we ever get to 8-8 in the foreseeable future. The Browns certainly know how I feel after we blast them in our annual "season ticket holder satisfaction survey".

not speaking out of school, but in your defense. For years I used to put my students into Lo Duca accordions. They were functionally great but had one feature that kept them from being great. So, because I could afford it, I would modify the instrument to make me happy. I complain to this day about why the now defunct company did this. It was my money, my time, so I reserved the right to beach about it. Same deal with your tickets. The damned team is legend and you want people you love to hopefully one day enjoy what you did.
Whether or not the Browns ever turn it around, is not even the issue. It's the Browns. You just don't give your ducats up.

EVERY talking head I have heard said the refs got the call right on that play. ESPN, Fox, NBC etc. (maybe not the ones in Peetown...but all the national outlets did). They said they didn't particularly like that rule...but they said that the call was correct.
And I don't know about that play in the int. Didn't see it clearly enough.
Nevertheless...no one is crying for yinzers, as yinz are usually the ones getting those calls. So, as I said above, if it has been 500-0 in favor of the Squibs, it is now 500-1 in their favor.
