So our coach goes 9-7 and gets the axe while yours goes 1-31 over two years and winless this year and gets a vote of confidence from the owner. The Browns might be the first team to repeat as 0-16.

A phony coach for a phony businessman. Exactly what did you expect?

The Browns have four NFL championships Gipper. 1950, 1954, 1955 and 1964.
Not sure where the other four NFL championships are located.

There's a legit argument to be made for that. I feel confident that the Browns would have beaten the NFL champions of 1946-1949 at least 2 of the 4 seasons, if not better.
But that's speculation. We'll never know.

Not really. The Browns might have been competitive, but everyone else not. The AAFC was not the equal of the NFL, unlike the 1960s AFL.

There was nothing at all perfect about this past season and certainly nothing to celebrate. Stink? Stank? Stunk? It's all the same.

Actually, the overall talent level of the AAFC was probably superior to the NFL by the end of its run.
This book covered that subject pretty convincingly.

Today those two couldn't even start for St. Ignatius.
You are absolutely correct.
They are both dead.
