Thoughts On Today's Parade
-
A friend of mine and fellow Vet came up with a T-shirt similar to the parade. It had the Vietnam Service Medal colors and read, "Southeast Asian War Games.......Second place". I pretty much grin the same way at the 0-16 parade. Don't like it then be a winner.

I think that's more f u c k e d up then the parade. I'm surprised you would even think it's funny.

You had to actually be there to appreciate the humor of it. Humor in every situation was par for the course in dealing with it all. (What are they gonna do? Shave my head? Send me to Vietnam?). That's just the way it was.

Maybe to you, not to me. Â

Maybe to you, not to me. Â
We all handle things in life in our own way my friend. I don't talk to people about things in Vietnam that were beyond disturbing unless I've known them for a long, long time. I rely on the humorous things that also occurred when questioned about my experiences. That works for me.

An embarrassment to the bad name of the browns. I hate that they went forward with this piece of crap and of course since everyone hates cleveland every news organization in the world covered it lovingly.Â

My balls. You are invited to suckle them.Â

, ironically enough, it is the passion of the fans that keeps us down because we fire everyone every 2 years in response to their anger.Â
So the decision to hire a GM and tell him that he cannot fire a coach that went 1-31 is the FANS FAULT?
Jimmuh is a dope!

No. The decision to fire everyone every two years is the fansâ fault.Â
He may not want the headache and eventually sell. Â The NFL may not want the bad PR and send in a guy to take over football operations as the NBA did the 76ers.
The fans wonât be any happier after he sells.Â
I saw Ogbah and Fatty Shelton both condemned the fans' protest parade on Twatter....... Wait, so it's OK for the players to protest during the anthem while expecting the fans to understand, and once the fans show their feelings with a protest (of sorts), now suddenly the same dudes say the fans shouldn't protest........ HA!!
Don't like the parade guys?  W I N.
I doubt theyâd care whatsoever if fans wanted to stand outside the stadium and actually protest. Do that. Donât have a parade. So stupid.Â
I don't think anyone in attendance was there to condemn the players and/or their efforts. (I would hope) I think it's mostly to mock the organization...front office...owner...coach.
How exactly do you mock the organization but somehow carve out an exception for the players?
Anyone calling it a celebration missed the boat.
Chris MacNeil clearly labeled it a protest against Jimmah, and Browns management.
If the players can protest...you bet your azz the fans can too.
If the players wanted to avoid this, all they had to do was win   one   fukkin   game.
Protests actually need a thoughtful basis. Whatâs this collective group of losersâ plan for the organization? They have none.Â

Simple solution to spare their poor, hurt feelings...... win more than 1 game in two seasons.Â

Yeah theyâre super inclined to work their fingers to the bone for clown fans like that....

and here I thought professionals did their jobs..... guess the Browns don't have professionals, as their 1-31 record would indicate.Â

I'll let you expound on that one War. It's the FANS fault Jimmy doesn't know what the hell he's doing, and pushes the panic button when it blows up in his face AGAIN. He promotes a Harvard Bean Counter and hires a Baseball number cruncher to run his organization- and it produces the worst two year record in the history of the NFL. 20\20 hindsight says it turned out exactly the way you'd expect it to.Â
Apparently Jimmy hasn't learned- and is still listening to the Homeless Guy. If you want to blame the FANSÂ for the dumpster fire. You're pointing the blame finger in the wrong direction. A completely logical reaction to 1-31. Translate this to around 10 other NFL cities, and the owner would already have moved out of town. Yeah, we still care- when thousands of fans show up on a single digit temperature day to show- we still care enough to give the owner the collective finger.Â

I dislike the idea of the parade. I think it's bad for the city. However, I do approve of making fun of that fool and criminal, jimmy haslem. He's either 100% a crook or the dumbest billionaire ever to exist in history. he says one thing and does another, at least be a damn man of your word.
My friend sent me a snapchat from the parade he went to today.
this made me laugh. I approve of anyone giving jimmy the finger.

New height of stupidity... new blot on Cleveland's reputation.
At least the River catching on fire was accidental.

As a child, I was told the river was lit intentional. It was always stool week and it was lit by the steel grate bridge in order to grill a bunch of burghers all at once. As far as the whole nixon epa thing? That was the lie. Grilling burghers was the real reason the river burned. Be nice to see that tradition return????

MSM post of the year! What a bunch of baloney. Lousy balony too. Sure not Oscar Meyer

Fan is short for fanatic. That suggests passionate opinions aplenty. Tolerating losing is for losers according to fans.Â

What I find interesting is the Browns fans on this board that live nowhere near Cleveland, most likely never have lived near Cleveland, seem to think they are the experts on what makes a quality Cleveland Browns fan and what is good for the city of Cleveland.

This wasnât a spur of the moment protest, it was actually hatched in 2016 but a surprise victory on Christmas Eve changed things.
However, the Browns were able to pull off a perfect 0-16 season which cemented the aforementioned parade.
Oh, by the way the Cleveland food bank reaped $14,000 in donations from the parade goers...those bastards.

I think that's great on the food bank collection........hmmmmm I don't really recall the national media coverage mentioning that fact, I could be wrong (but I doubt it).
And some players do a tremendous amount of charity work, good for them but in another light that $14,000 is what 1/5th or 1/10th a single player's game check.....to put things in some perspective.Â
