The games deliver Ghoolie's lessons

I don't think it was Trubisky that got Fox fired.
The thing is, I know the game of football and what things are needed to be successful. And I can say the Browns should take this guy or that guy. And I can be totally wrong, for a number of reasons. So for someone who has shown they only care about style points and excitement (no defense, line doesn't matter, etc) and thinks they get everything right is ridiculous. Hmm, I'll give a prediction from my neck of the woods, Virginia Tech will be better than Virginia, or JMU will do good in FCS. It doesn't take a genius to say that the team will struggle. Or to say QB is the most important position. And when you don't have one you will struggle.
But the guy who proclaims to know everything needs to be called out when he is wrong. Or a few months from now he will still be saying he gets everything right. He still will though, I think he has lied to himself for so long he actually believes it.

Want some stats for the past? Or present on how teams win? They are easy to find. The 2 most decorated QBs of ALL TIME were a 3rd and 6th round picks
Who do you consider the most "decorated" QBs of all time? I will take a guess and say you mean Tom Brady and Joe Montana.
So...just to help you out with your point, here you go: Tom Brady #199 overall pick. Joe Montana #82 overall pick. And here is more fuel for you fire: another guy that won 5 titles: #200 overall pick. Mr. Bart Starr.
But, I will give some counterpoint to your theory: The QB that won the most Championships....with 7...was Otto Graham...and he was a #4 overall pick (of the Lions in 1944).
And the other QBs who have won 3 or more titles:
Terry Bradshaw...#1 overall...4 wins
Sid Luckman...#2 overall....4 wins
Troy Aikman....#1 overall....3 wins
John Unitias....#102 overall....3 wins
The other guy that sort of fits is Len Dawson....he won an AFL title, and a Super Bowl...and another AFL title but lost that Super Bowl he was a #5 overall pick.
If you don't go by just titles won...but by how "revered" they are as a QB.... you can also look at:
Peyton Manning #1 overall
John Elway #1 overall
Brett Favre #33 overall
Dan Marino #27 overall
Drew Brees #32 overall
Plus....others who have throw for over 50K yards in their careers....all 2004 guys:
Eli #1
Rivers #4
Ben R. #11.

Terry Bradshaw is every bit as decorated as Montana, AND a far better QB. You saw what happened to Montana when he didn't have DeBartolo to pay off refs. Montana was a phony. He was over rated and played for the mafia. He couldn't hold Bradshaw's sweaty balls. This is why Hollywood, TV AND the NFL seek Bradshaw out and pay him. Montana is doing Viagra commercials.

Otto Graham never won an NFL championship. Never. Not one that stands up to the teams of today. I m sure you can dig up some caveman who won The Fred Flintstone Bowl championship 8 times while wearing a Brontosaurus egg on his head. Stone Age championships mean nothing. The modern era of football started with the SB.

Not one that stands up to the teams of today? Well Namath and the Jets or the undefeated Dolphins team wouldn't stand up to the teams today. Players are bigger, stronger, faster and the athleticism from yesteryear just couldn't stand up today. So what's your point?
You certainly aren't helping your case

I was trying to interpret what the OP said.....since he was talking about a 3rd and 6th round pick.

This is just ignorant Troglodyte, Steeler Socksuck horseshite. Why do you continue to be such a boorish ignoramus?
Terry Branshaw couldn't hold Otto Graham's sweaty balls. But, Bradshaw was a great QB but now is an ENTERTAINER...I mean...he is hanging out with William Shatner and Henry Winkler. He is entertaining...that is why Hollywood gives him work.

Pittsburgh scored 42 points - which is usually really good in the post season. Their QB threw 5 TD passes to just 1 INT and threw for 469 yards at a comp% of 63.79, which is the 2nd most in NFL playoff history. Ben Rapen only got sacked twice but the fumble went for TD Jax' offense didn't need to score. The INT and getting stuffed for a 3 yard loss on 4th and 1 wouldn't have meant that much of Pittsburgh matched that kind of Defense. They didn't. That simple... The better offense will be showing up for tee-times next Sunday.
Tom.....can you believe they called a pitchout on 4th and the length of Stans peepee? WHo calls plays like that? 9 men in the box, and a pitchout? Parallel to the LOS?
You know I was pro Steelers in this game, as much as that way, but some of this Steeler meltdown was just too funny.
What do you think about Ben? At times he held the ball too long, but then he sure delivered some spectacular passes. I thought last year that he lost his release time, I believe Brady has as well. For whatever reason, defenses don't blitz much any more. I give your buddy Williams props, he made life miserable for opposing QBs. I am on board for another year. If he gets a matching bookend for Two tackle Texas, we keep Collins and he is healthy, and maybe a smash mouth DB, and we are on to something.
Jax has to get after Brady. If they don't they will get shredded. Why do teams not look at what Atlanta did to Brady in the fist half of lst year's SB? Passive passive, passive. It makes football boring.

Well said. Even worse, Pitt pulled 1 or 2 linemen that bellied back instead of staying tight to the line of scrimmage (because the right side of their line got pushed back); which caused the RB to belly back as well. You do that to a loaded box with fast LBers and they're going to swarm in right off/behind the fannies of the pulling linemen. This completely closed off any chance for Bell to cut back while the defense pursued, clamped and closed. Couldn't have been any easier for Jax.
It would be fun to see Jax win this whole thing. I don't know if they're balanced enough; but they have LBers and a secondary that matches up well with NE's strengths. Plus they can put heat on the passer and run the ball. Looking forward to this week's games.

The Steeler OL is not fine.
Ben was under constant pressure and committed 2 turnovers for 14 points. Ben has been taking a beating for several years because the OL stinks.
You are an idiot if you think that. They came up against the best Defense in the NFL. the defense that had the most sacks. They may have gotten their butt handed to them a bit in this game....but they protected him well enough for BR to throw 5 TDs and for 469 yards.
I wish you were right...I wish the Steelers OL sucked swamp water....I wish it was so bad that BR was having his arse handed to him every game...but it is not like that. It is one of the best and best coached OLs in the game.
I hope that their OL coach is enticed to go elsewhere. He is a former HC...and is, I understand, being interviewed for a couple of HC jobs. Lets hope he gets one.

I dont think, I know that youre an idiot.
The Steelers OL and DL used to be one of the best in the NFL and could go toe to toe with any team. Against Jax, Ben threw hail marys and his WRs came down with the ball. The OL is not fine and Pitt has been winning nail biters all season.
The Steelers are not a dominate team in the trenches anymore. They are a soccer team.

I honestly think Brady is past his prime. If he is given time, he is still great. But when he is forced to release quickly, he is very average. I think if JAX goes blitzn happy, they can win. I am sick of NE sick of everyone. SIck of us not having a team that is worthy of our honor and support.

Anything can happen. Maybe the Jags are the next Patriots? They won 12 games this season and a bunch of guys contribute on offense. They are balanced. Bortles just makes plays when they need them. Brady didnt wow anybody in 2001 either.
Seriously about QBs. They make or break you. They make the OL look like the 5 blocks of granite. Not the other way around of the OL making Kizer look like Jim Kelly. Lots of NFL QBs come and go with the physical ability that made them big stars in college. The NFL game is 3 D chess and decision making is as important as a strong arm.
All bets are off on the Browns constant losing and coming in last in 2018 if they land a real QB like Alex Smith and draft a beast. Youre not winning jack squat without a QB in the NFL.

you clearly don't value the fat-butt factor..OL coach Scarnicki should get more value in that Pats. coaching staff than he does. 1st quarter, If the Jags DL beats up Pats OL? Jags got a chance. If Jags got to blitz to get to Brady, Gronk will make them pay worse than McDonald last week..Jags got under 4 secs. to Brady or the winning door closes quickly..Jags with Marone is all about winning up front on both sides of ball

I will accept the opinion of any football expert on who is right...you or me. I say that the Steelers OL is just fine...one of the best in the NFL. You say it sucks.
98% of football experts will take my side.
I wish you were right. I wish the Steelers OL was just suckass. But it isn't. And you are the consensus idiot of America if you think otherwise.

So....are you putting yourself in the bucket of ignorant arseholes along with Ghoolie?
Are you as Stupid as a Steeler fan? "The world didn't exist before the Steelers started winning" The world didn't exist before the Patriots started winning. Both Franchises were the laughing stock of 2 different leagues for 40 years each.....but those years don't count in your ignorant minds...and nothing counts before they started being winners.
Well....that would be great if we could do that. If nothing before the early 70s counted...then we can then conclude that nothing that Babe Ruth, Joe Dimaggio, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Jackie Robinson etc. etc. Nothing of what they did counts. Good...lets completely diminish the Yankees accomplisments all those years.
Same for Basketball. Nothing counts before the merger with the ABA...... Nothing Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Bob Cousy, George Mikan, Oscar Robertson,Elgin Baylor, John Havlicek, Bob Petit....nothing of their careers counts at all.
Same for hockey....not that I know much about hockey...but a few names like Bobby Orr, Gordie Howe, Maurice Richard, Stan Mikita...nothing they ever did counted.
You guys are the biggest morons of our generation.
