I'm trying to make Chubb make sense at four. I think Fitzpatrick is out now after that trade with the Packers.
I love the idea of Garrett/Chubb rushing off the ends, but I don't know if it's a bang-for-your-buck kind of selection at four overall. As good as Ogbah is against the run, I don't know if we're going to see a lot of pressure on opposing QBs if he's there most every down.

Getting the best pass rusher in the draft is always good bang for your buck at 4. Chubb and Garrett would turn Worthlessburger’s cervix inside out.

I don’t see the value in the trade but I am interested to see where this leads. Either they have a FA in mind that they think will do the same job on the cheap or they are looking to find someone in the draft.

Well this is interesting.
I mean, maybe it was a fit thing, since Shelton was originally drafted to be a 3-4 nose and now is a 4-3 tackle, and/or the fact that he was on his last year of his rookie contract and the Browns wanted to get something for him before he walks?

The last GM valued draft picks very highly. This one doesn’t.
Haslam has gone from one extreme to the other. There’s no plan for this organisation it’s just try something and hope it works.

A 1-31 team over the last two years - and just plain awful for many years, turning over their roster from overrated players who have been an integral part of that losing..... yea, who could've seen this coming.

Guess I'll just trust Dorsey more than those of us internet GMs crying here........

To be fair, the Browns were good against the run last season.
Basically the Browns gave Shelton to the Patriots to be able to move up roughly 40 spots in the draft. (If you consider they gave away their 5th rounder this year in the 130s overall for NEs 3rd rounder in 2019 which probably will be in the 90s overall)
I'd be really interested in Dorsey's explanation for this.

Actually the Browns didn't pick up any draft picks, since they sent one to New England with Shelton.
It's a bit of a head-scratcher to me too....

The Browns were the #7 run defense in the league last year.... with a massively depleted LB corps.
Its the only Shmucking thing they did right last year
