  • So....Cleveland Clinic #1.   (the most recent procedure I had....not heart....just routine colonoscopy done at Cleveland Clinic branch)

Cornell...where my son goes near the top

Mayo Clinic...associated with Univ. of Minn. ...where he used to work.

Johns Hopkins...where my nephew works....up there too.

Where are you living now?  Would you go to Michigan if you had something.

We have a completely different front office now, so I wouldn't expect the #1 pick to be traded. That #4 pick is going to be nearly as valuable as the #1 pick because it is likely their will be a run on QBs, leaving just 1 top-tier QB of the 4 when pick 4 rolls around.  Possible teams that would want to pick a QB: Dolphins at 11, Redskins at 13, Cardinals at 15, Chargers at 17,  Bills at 21. If it's the Bills, they will have to give a boatload up to the Browns to move up that high.

If it's the Bills, I'd cry to move back THAT far.  I think that's been our downfall in recent years.  Trade back?  Sure, fine.  But trade back into the 20's?  Ehhhhh

Apparently I missed the news that the Bills are picking at 12 now due to a trade with Cincinnati. Trading back to 12 not nearly as bad. With most recent FA moves, I really think it is QB at 1 and with Fitzpatrick, Chubb, or trade down at 4 to pick up another DB.

  • oh geez... here we go

I'm making a distinction between a university's hospital and "associated with" by the way. The Clinic is the best. US News has Michigan's hospital 10. Not bad. Point being, if they didn't think it was an issue. Probably fine.

Was making a joke about the ridiculous Ohio-centric rating type comments you've made before.

Not worth trying to go through that  again...

  • As exciting is hospital talk is...

Can someone please explain to me how exactly Carlos Hyde is a superior RB over Crowell?

If anything, it's a wash with Hyde being an ex-Buckeye who is over two years older than Crowell...

He doesn't get tackled by the yard lines or the turf monster nearly as often as Crow.

And Crow is gone now...so he sucks and Hyde is here so he's awesome.

  • Crow had his moments, and was solid at worst. Hyde is at least as good as Crow. Except Hyde actually want to be here.

Until Hue relegates him to a handful of carries even during games that are close... 😆

Sure it is worth it....because you always go there again.  And I can always separate your wings from you.  I am the spider and you are the fly in my web.

Besides....Cornell is not in Ohio.....Johns Hopkins is not in Ohio......  But these are esoteric to my family.

Point is.....Michigan U is again second rate compared to things/places in Ohio....and things/place I am associated with.

Sorry you can't handle it.....but it is high time you acknowledged the second rate status of matters associated with Michigan.

And we are not even talking football teams.   There is no reason to do that really.   No one would have an argument there. Not even you.

I think it's a little better than a wash... not much better, but a little.

Carlos has better vision and is a battering ram in GL situations.

Crow's superior asset was his acceleration.

Should we trade down with the #4, I don't want to go below the first 10.  (meaning I'm not interested in what the Bills have to offer. The Bills #12, #22, and one of the seconds should be enough to get them into the top 3. More reason to just take the QB we like at #1.

  • 12 is close enough to 10, but if you wanted to move back up a couple slots you could and still net a gain from the trade down.

As for the fear of #22 some have alluded to... DuoDidecaphobia?... I think it only applies to QBs. 😉

Nice word.   My son....who when he was about that age....was in Cub Scouts...in Pack #13.  And he and the other kids in his pack played various instruments...in like the Middle school band....so they form a bit of an ad hoc  jazz combo to perform at Troop meetings.    They called themselves the Triskadecaphobics.   (fear of #13....Pack 13).  I thought it was a pretty cool name for a band.

    Ah yes, Mr Anecdotal.

You destroyed any credibility you had many moons ago when you made your ridiculous comparisons.

But you just go with whatever feels right in your heart buddy.

No....I didn't destroy any credibility.  It bolstered it.

Everything I say is an accurate FACT....or it is an opinion based on reason....and evidence.

NOTHING I have EVER said about the quality of various colleges or institutions has EVER been refuted by you.....except to say that you have a different opinion.  Which..of course, counts for absolutely nothing around here.

e.g......I say that those 3 institutions....hospitals....are considered better than Univ. of Michigan.   And the fact is...in an authoritative opinion...they ARE.       No one said that the MU  hospital sucked....or that it didn't rank highly....just that these others are considered better.

2d e.g.  I said Kenyon is better in its niche as a liberal arts college than FMU.  It is.  I never said it could compare in certain areas to FMU.   Its simple size would not allow that.  It is 1600 student....not what?  40-50K students?

I said that the Akron U has a fine engineering dept.  It does.  Does FMU's rank higher?  Probably.   But what I said is that based on the people that I am aware of that have been produced by AU....which is a friend of my son's......it has a produced a better  engineer than MU has:  which is you.    No doubt in my mind about that.

    So...what else.

You want to talk football?  There is no discussion there.

Basketball?   At least...this year...you have a chance at making inroads there.  At least for a few days.
