I could've sworn the Constitution gives the president a power called a "veto" or something like that he could use if he didn't agree with a particular bill from Congress; say, for example, a budget bill from Congress that provided tax cuts that would inflate the federal defict by a trillion dollars in one year. After all, isn't the GOP the party the party of fiscal responsibility? It must be those pesky Democrats in Congress' fault. Thankfully, the GOP has a filibuster-proof majority in Congress, and wouldn't allow any Democrats' chicanery to reach Trump's desk...

It just underscores the futility of voting in the first place. Republicans could have approach this from an austerity angle and really tightened up the US economy debt and deficit. But they compromised. Now it stinks worse than it did before but not as bad as will stink a few years from now.

Neither team wants to address the problem because they are cowards. They will drive till the wheels fall off then try to blame the other guy. That mentality has passed on to the people who are deeply invested in the team politics.
