Zeitler out a couple weeks with a calf injury. Drango filled in today, so l guess that answers the question on where Drango is in the pecking order. Sounds like the Oline suffered today with reshuffling and Tretter with the vet day off.

  • I'm always somewhat "Meh" when it comes to offensive line performance.  For some reason, whenever we've had the makings of a good offensive line, it never seems to live up to the hype.  So I'm going to just wait to assess how everything goes until I comment about it.  Now, one thing I can say is the video of Bitonio playing LT looked pretty darn good.  Well, what was posted in that article anyway.

  • Everyone chill I think Bitonio will be a good fit.

Corbett at LG, Tretter, Hubbard, Coleman.

Not a bad O-line.. I certainty miss JT.. I hope he becomes our next OL/OC in a few years

I really like the idea of Corbett right next to the guy who can also teach him that position during practice and play because they line up together.

What did you do with our best lineman, Zeitler?

Coleman will not be in lineup when all are healthy.

    Almost forgot about Zeitler

  • I still think that this could weaken two positions

  • i dont know if u all rem or not, but drango's first game as a LT after JT went down.....was against none other than the leagues best pass rusher last year everson griffen. And drango only gave up one sack which if i rem right was a late garbage kizer holding the ball for 10 minutes looking to throw the ball in absolutely the wrong window....kind of sack

point is drango came in and played LT almost at JT's level for most of the rest of the season. Why was he not considered for LT when he came in his first game and stuffed the leagues best?

Cause Weebles Wobble than Durango would fall down..He's a guard, that can Weeble straight forward, but can't Wobble sideways on a open island. Griffen played bull rush on him that with a guard you don't play.Durango gave up 10 sacks last season. When drafted, I tried to find a legit DE that played Durango at Baylor, with not much luck..The tape monsters figured out Durango at LT & he can't kick sideways with any balance..

  • obviously i dont rem every rush from that game, but i would be incredulous if going through that tape u'd not see more than a few outside rush attmpts by griffen. No way the vikings dc tells his d line "go easy on their new LT"....

Are we under estimating Joel's ability & expectations at LT? But as most, like myself, till viewing Corbetts tape. were all under estimating Austin Corbett's ability.Sure it's a 2 piece move.Let's start with Joel..He's replacing S. Coleman not JT..Nobody replaces JT, but Joel's by far is are best can a date to date to replace JT not S.Coleman per coaches. No NFL team has Joel gametape at LT..Advanage Joel, in my book. Can Joel finish in the top 15-20 in LT's? That's not out of line. Can we get to 10 good LT's in this league? Sure maybe 10, but if Joel ranks between the 11th to 15th of LT's. I'd call that a winning decision at the position for now.On to Corbett. Dorsey has got to be right with the weight of his move of #33 pick Austin Corbett over Will Hernandez. That's the big weight in this move, sliding Joel over. Than the weight moves to the coaches that put him ahead of Durango and others. Here's a guy I like to listen to that adds some life to the Senior bowl workouts. Named Voch Lombardi. You can start at 13:11 to watch the guy the Saints traded a bunch on that Corbett wrecks..Than at Center at 16:26 against P.Ford from Texas..Most will want to get more just listening to this guys jive breakdowns, but just take a look at this #73 in white with the dark blue helmet thru out this tape..
