i loathe the NRA because of the partisan hacks who staff it. That being said, this potential debacle with them has a real chance of affecting gun ownership overall. This is why ive wishing for years now some other STRICTLY non partisan gun advocacy group with rational people running it, would step forward. People who gave the basic intelligence to see how guns manufactured at home by equipment thst isnt NFA'D is a direct work around to existing gun laws. These charges against Manafort have nothing to do with Trump's alleged collusion with Russia. This is just an over zealous prosecution of a 12 year old case (a case that prosecutors had years earlier decided not to prosecute over) in an effort to get Manafort to flip on Trump. Manafort is being scapegoated and his real crime was being a part of the Trump campaign for a few months. Even the judge in the case told the Mueller prosecutors that they were not fooling anyone with the prosecution of Manafort as being anything other than trying to use him to get Trump.

For 12 years? Manafort's real crime was being campaign manager for Trump for a few months. Now he is being used to go after Trump. If he had never taken the position as Trump's campaign manager he would never have been facing this prosecution today.
We saw the same heavy handedness from Mueller with Gen. Flynn whom the FBI originally had concluded he did not intentionally lie and was not going to prosecute until Mueller stepped in. In the same way it was just putting the screws on Flynn to go after Trump. Flynn's real crime was being part of the Trump administration for a short period of time.

Ah conspiracy theories abound. This has nothing at all to do with offshore secret accounts in which he hid millions of dollars and did not report it as income. i mean don't we all have accounts like that?
This is really what is going on.............attacks on Mueller are reaching fever pitch because Trump and his cronies know that Mueller is likely to submit his report before the end of this month and it will not be pretty. They will use every dirty trick every lie and every conspiracy theory too reduce the heat on themselves. It's called guilty as sin.
