For 12 years? Manafort's real crime was being campaign manager for Trump for a few months. Now he is being used to go after Trump. If he had never taken the position as Trump's campaign manager he would never have been facing this prosecution today.
We saw the same heavy handedness from Mueller with Gen. Flynn whom the FBI originally had concluded he did not intentionally lie and was not going to prosecute until Mueller stepped in. In the same way it was just putting the screws on Flynn to go after Trump. Flynn's real crime was being part of the Trump administration for a short period of time.

to which the good Judge said "When prosecutors addressed Manafort's relationship with Ukrainian "oligarchs," he told them to knock it off. Prosecutors are inferring that Manafort associates himself with "despicable people and therefore he's despicable," he said. "That's not the American way."

Ah conspiracy theories abound. This has nothing at all to do with offshore secret accounts in which he hid millions of dollars and did not report it as income. i mean don't we all have accounts like that?
This is really what is going on.............attacks on Mueller are reaching fever pitch because Trump and his cronies know that Mueller is likely to submit his report before the end of this month and it will not be pretty. They will use every dirty trick every lie and every conspiracy theory too reduce the heat on themselves. It's called guilty as sin.
