    1. Haley

    2. William's

    3. Saunders

    4. Dee Haslem

A little late for that but I thought it fit...

Also,....Grossi says that  neither Haley nor Williams  would be serious candidates for the permanent job.

And as was said elsewhere Williams doesn't give two shits what Grossi thinks. Can't wait for Red Zone in a couple hours...

Oh yes "gool the fool" strikes yet again.

An immature, childish, profane, arrogant bully who thinks he's the king wherever he goes. What a clown.

He shoveled so much I don't even know where to start should he dare to show his azz up here in the next couple days....  He will get as quick a hook as Josh Gordon this time if he misbehaves....  Affirmative Action... He's not getting fired...Hue doesn't answer to Dorsey...  Technically incorrect because Hue got shown the door before Haley, but we'll give him a pass on jumping in the Lake because he was 1\2 right on that one.

Had to take his act over to the 'Tard, because we shut down his BS here. He won't last very long over there either...

  • In the presser somebody asked Jimmy if the new coach would report to Dorsey in a 'proper' chain of command and Jimmy said Greg would report to both John and himself.  when asked more directly later, he pushed the question off saying they're concentrating on the upcoming games.

    Jimmy is a problem!

Not really.  The head coach reports to whomever the owner want him to.

And if he is...guess what??   You aren't changing it unless you've got a billion or so dollars laying around.

Jimmy has a problem, they're 3 and forever. Punt?

  • The Homeless Guy probably still reports to Jimmy.

Jimmy is in the way of progress.  Just let Dorsey handle the football team.

  • Man, lots of reports that Baker did not like Hue.... I saw some body language from Baker here and there when talking to Hue that made me think that Baker was not buying into whatever Huey was selling, but these reports make it sound as it was a well known fact.

I've thought that since seeing them interact on 'Hard Knocks', in fact I mentioned it numerous times.

It was painfully obvious that Mayfield knew Hue was a dead man walking, and barely even went through the motions of showing him respect.

And good lord, the first episode of HK basically broadcast to the world that Haley and Hue were never going to work out.

Thankfully when can start to move on.

  • do we have any clarification that in fact Hue hired Haley or Dorsey?

DAMN! ! !  That's quite a list. Thanks for that.  So much for continuity.

I didn't watch it but I can see that it was huge in getting CLE to where the Browns are at this moment.

It was obvious as the nose on your face that Haley and Hue weren't going to get along. Haley didn't respect Hue's "candy-butt" way of leadership, and Hue wanted nothing to do with any OC coming in and taking his offense over.

And I never got the impression Mayfield wanted anything to do with him. Every time Hue would talk to him, Baker seemed to have this look on his face like: "Dude, I'm barely even going to bother learning your name, because I know you aren't long for this place."

i just see it as another wasted season...and we have had many of those, but this one is just downright ugly....poor baker....and as a matter of fact, all the browns....guess i'll still watch  them. ....the fo just cannot get it right.....

According to Tony Grossi, Hue hired Haley. Hue was in charge of the coaching staff and reported directly to Haslem.

Never a Hue fan, but I gave him the benefit of doubt, much like the Browns did, right up to the Steeler game. Not a fan of change to make change.

But, after that game I was in a conversation with Marko and a few others and we were debating who gets fired, Hue or Haley, and I said "Fire them both tonight".

I looked past the 1-31, this was a new beginning. But you played Pittsburgh to a draw over 5 quarters in week one, and now you look like a college team in the second half against them. That's regression. And, as for Haley, if he can't take commands or criticism ... good luck to ya.

I think Baker is in better hands with Freddie Kitchens the rest of the year, he knows Haley's offense inside and out, and has probably been wanting to throw in some of his own stuff, and as a former QB, he is going to protect Baker as well as give him opportunities to make plays.

    Gregg Williams:

First order of business: Demand an real NFL kicker from personnel.

Second order of business: Sit down with Baker, tell him you've got his back ... but that you'll be over on the defensive side of the ball, bye.

Third order of business: Grab some motherfucker by the facemask at the first practice and let the team know that Club Med is over, they are going to work their asses off and be held accountable.

I'm sure Hue did "make the hire", but...

    • it was no secret that hiring an OC was a prerequisite for Hue continuing as the HC; and
    • Haley's name was likely suggested for Hue's consideration.
