  • What's the point, cal. You're the old man who inspires fear in fellow party-goers when they see you saunter up in your overalls, ready to tell the same tired old Barney Frank is a fag joke you've been telling them for the past 7 years.

    ****************************************

The point is, you said I TREADED. I never treaded. Go look up "treaded".

And his being openly gay and flaunting it and being a corrupt somebeech is no laughing matter.

    1. I am not old. I am older. Repect your elders, they have experienced a lot about life.

    2. I don't inspire fear in fellow party goers. Ask Steve after he comes to one of our farm parties, about

how terrible and feared I am... ROF,L !

    3. I thought only gays "sauntered". I don't believe anybody here "saunters". And, I don't wear overalls, unless it's

to put a pair on for a Christmas farm picture, which I haven't talked my wonderul cute Wife into, yet. GGG

    4. Read #1.

    5. Read #2

    6. Read #3

    7. I don't know how you can be still threatened by conservatives. I wasn't all conservatives in California

that passed Prop. 8. Are you aware of that? At all? It's common, human decency and family values.

    8. Read #7

    9. Read #7 again.

    10. Now, either prove I TREADED, or say you're sorry.

    *****************************************************

But you believe in equality instead of some antiquated Biblical notion.

    ****************************************************

I believe in the truth, and I find it in the Bible. I don't find it in a lot of people,

sometimes even back when I went to church.

You are one of those people. I have a keen instinct about these things,

but I sense a lot of posturing lib baloney for posterity coming from your location.

    ****************************************************

    Keep thinking about that.

  • Steve you are funny.

I am confused I thought the Skirts you wear are about cultural tradition not comic relief...

Saddam was not nuclear... I thought that was already abundantly clear...

Actually because of the "bush" plan we are STUCK.. because of OIL and a counter to Iran (Which Saddam was)

As for Afghanistan.... PAKISTAN destabilization who is NUCLEAR....

"my" boy is less than 8 months into the Job and as EVERY MAJOR ECONOMIST PROJECT Tax hikes are coming because of what was CREATED PRIOR to Obama...

Since you dont seem to understand Obama wants a PUBLIC PAY OPTION THAT IS NONPROFIT but we have to PAY for it to COMPETE with the for profit options to lower costs...

You are Right about Bush Jr not running in 08 BUT HIS POLICY TEAM BACKERS WERE WITH MCCAIN AND PALIN it was the same ideology and backers

You must have missed the Sarcasm in the ENTIRE paragraph when I mentioned how important oil was... and how it affects everything which is why the loophole needs to be closed

Biden is not mentally challenged by a mile..... and he is VP and Pelosi is one member of the House.... Biden unlike Palin actually reads and understand foreign policy.

You comments as a retort on what the realities are of actually running a business its pretty much what a person does when they dont have any experience to give a educated retort to. Its funny because you dont have to honestly deal with it, you just like to whine about policy like you actually understand or it really impacts you.

How much do you pay for other peoples insurance? how much do you contribute to other people's retirements? Try actually doing it in practice and than you might have a clue.

Your like a guy who looks at a car and thinks he knows how to drive it without ever actually doing it and then complains about drag coefficient of the design or stopping distance/accelaration and than wants to tell Ford how to correct it.

As for North Korea.... Your "understanding" is over simplified Here let me explain this to you in terms I think even a child would understand...

LEVERAGE..... The U.S. was stopped COLD in the 50's by China WHO IS ALSO NUCLEAR... WHO by the WAY is our biggest CREDITOR in our own ECONOMIC DEBACLE.... WHO is ALSO the WORLDS manufacturer.

Barring military action that only could be solved by the NUCLEAR option neither country wants to engage..... which is the basis for peace between us and EVERY OTHER NUCLEAR nation..

North Koreas MAIN ally and aid contributor is CHINA.... The U.S. is just a MILITARY DETERENT.... NOrth Korea KNOWS China has expansionist policies and the political elite knows they are a rising superpower both economically and militarily. China is NOT a ally to the U.S. they are a competitor and WANTS to be the biggest player in Asia period......

Obviously your ignorance about Chinese/Korean peninsula/Japanese/Asian continent political/social history is evident because you have NO idea about how the Chinese operate.

Basically there is a large Bully in China that the U.S. can do NOTHING about military because of assured mutual destruction... Economically China nows holds OUR purse strings and manufacture's for the world... North Korea Knows this and so does EVERYONE ELSE... Which is why Russia (another competitor for us) and China were the critical players in every negotiation for the last 20 years.....

So whatever the U.S. does (and has been doing by cutting banking/business interest to north korea) truly means very little to nothing because North Korea can divert to Chinese held financial institutions..... or even Russian.... Which we cant do squat about.

Its called leverage in a negotiation and we are trumped because of Chinese/russian support... you know kind of like the French aided us in the Revolutionary war to check British colonialism elsewhere and to limit their sphere of influence.... The Chinese are more than happy to do the same to us now.

So in summary to your "understanding" of how U.S. foreign policy or leadeship affects MY other country... we have very little LEVERAGE... and in negotiations Leverage equats to the Golden rule: He who has the gold makes the rules (funny because China also has the gold now also) So yes right now it matters very little what the U.S. does.

China is the most important player and your child like U.S.centric idea that U.S. policy or leadership has much to do with why the North Koreans leadeship in their current transitive state is funny. My family who lives in Seoul (and quite a few are lifers in the military) can give me some pretty good perspective.... Not to mention I lived there served there, learned about all the history of surrounding asian countries....

maybe you should stick to topics like acoustics in a hibernian hall or how the static electricity from the friction of the skirts you wear can effect the wireless microphone you are using.

    I'm hip.

Well you aren't blessed with much of a sense of humor so .....

Saddam was not nuclear... I thought that was already abundantly clear...

    Abundantly? Are you nuts?

The same report that said your buddy didn't have

stockpiles of WMDs ALSO said he would reinstate he program as soon as the sanctions were discarded. Which was the goal of the lefties and the French.

Also FYI the "buffer" to Iran was no longer valid after the US kicked Saddam out of Kuwait.

The UN couln't hav done it without the US so now they had a new ally whoi stood to profit from that oil. Hmmmm wonder who that was eh general?

{unless yuou think US foreign policy has no bearing there either)

I'll get to the rest of the crap later.

    WSS

  • Again your oversimplification of a situation is your arguments...

YES Saddam Wanted Nuclear options... So did Libya and most other countries worried about keeping soveriegn integrity...... Yes he definately would have pursued Nukes... Just Like Iran is...... or North korea...... Or Pakistan DID or India DID WITHOUT OUR BLESSING.....

Yes Saddam WAS a check on Iranian influence....WHY? Because he was a SUNNI that brutally was in charge of a military that already beat down the Iranians once... Iran is SHIA dominated so regardless of what state Iraq was in.. it still was a definate check against the Iranians......

To get back to the original argument of this thread.... BOTH parties are crooked and will employ any means necessary... Do I think Franken won legitimately? About as legitimate as any of these close contested races are.

Again I think it definately gives the Dems an edge policy wise but... there are moderate democrats who are almost the same as moderate republicans = Republicrats which means a fight on major policy shifts like Health care.

  • ^Such a blanket, down-home and really kind of novice statement really disregards the huge difference in ideology and practice each "side" employs and really pisses in the faces of those who actually care about shit.

  • Palin is brilliant compared to Franken.

Say, where DID that experience is required thing by liberals go?

    Franken-Stein has NO experience.

Rules changsies again? and again? and again?

    Yep.

  • really mz the pussy.... you think the MILLIONS of dollars that it takes to get elected to the Millionaires club... I mean the Senate and the Lobbyists who fund those campaigns play fair?

There are good people on both sides, thats not the problem by any measure. The "system" of who and what choices are given to the people in the first place are. Franken.... seriously? what track history of success in governing does he really bring to the table? Or any sort of track history in leadership or expertise in subject matter?

Truthfully Cal has SOME merit here... Franken was the "best" democratic candidate for a Senate seat?

The "Disputed" numbers of what vote gets counted and those that dont are discretionary and were challenged back and forth and I find the truth probably lies in the middle.

Like Bush vs Gore a Supreme court had to step in and decide because both sides "claim" numbers and votes/disputes.... Where is the real truth? I just find it all shades of grey.

Yes I see ideology differences between parties.. but the almighty BINDING agent which makes the act in concert is MONEY. Inflluence and quid pro quo does not distinguish between ideology and party leadership. Both sides need it and draw from virtually the same pool, their maybe suble lobbying diffences but all parties pushing money all operate the same way on making sure "their" party wins in the money investment/influence game. EVERYONE plays hardball.

  • But only the LEFT plays the game with the politics of personal destruction of "opponents",

    including their spouses and children.

  • This whole ordeal has gotten ugly and i dont think we have seen the last of it.

Personally I was pissed that Coleman pulled out without a fight. Who knows maybe his wallet was running thin due to the fact that Franken (stewart) was able to get the rules of the game changed during the course of the game. 😠

Lets use the same scenario in a football game, lets say that one team say Pittspuke is allowed to use 12 men on offense while playing the Browns, wouldn't you cry foul play?

This is not like a hanging chad thing, this is nothing more than a rip off of an election.

It's accurate and you overlook the reality.

What you're missing (possibly due to your inflated ego) is that Saddam had a tacit fellowship with te US that worked to his advantage as long as he played ball.

Which is why his new allies the French tried so hard to protect him.

Like the Saudi royals. It isn't religion, it's oersonal power.

Had the US not done the UN bidding in destert storm there would still be an arrangement.

A nuclear Iraq is not as big a threat if they're NOT our sworn enemies.

Use that "realism" you boast about.

Yes Saddam WAS a check on Iranian influence....WHY? Because he was a SUNNI that brutally was in charge of a military that already beat down the Iranians once... Iran is SHIA dominated so regardless of what state Iraq was in.. it still was a definate check against the Iranians......

    See above.

Again I think it definately gives the Dems an edge policy wise but... there are moderate democrats who are almost the same as moderate republicans = Republicrats which means a fight on major policy shifts like Health care.

Again the charges on the Franken side are miscounted and bogus ballots that turned up magically, in some areas outnumbering the voters.

And filtered through the fact that 2 to 1 election "workers" were dems.

On the Bush side it's bullshit like having de Po lice at polling areas to scare off voters and arranging the ballot so that stupid dems mistakenly voted for Buchanan.

consider that opinions of the matter differ depending on where you stand....

were you sreaming bloody murder when Jeb's state gave your man another 4 years?

  • bs, Choco.

Bush won Florida every recount. Gore tried and tried, but couldn't do it, even to the point

of trying to deny overseas veterans in our military their votes, since most of them would have

    been Bush votes.

Gore was unsuccessful in stealing the election in the courts.

Franken WAS successful, because Minn. is a goofball, liberal state.

    Florida is not.

  • Why is that woman holding you up by the tail, mz the pussy?

    *****************************

But, Minnesota, before the last election (I forget who Minn. went for), had not gone for a

Republican since Nixon, in the 60's.

  • Seeing Franken on Capital Hill was hilarious. Kind of like having a numskull like mz the pussy elected to public office. God help us all, the Christians anyway.

Wow, two guys who constantly cry to the mods about the flinging of personal insults by "libs" are insulting me personally in one thread. Kinda puts everything into perspective...

Are any of you guys going to list the instances of vote tampering in Florida that you prattle on about?

Just tell us how it was done.

  • You brought up the possum thing, mz the pussy. I guess you were saying that all Republicans in Florida are possums?

Or, something. Or maybe all Republicans in Minn. are possums. wth?

Whatever. Or, maybe you were saying I was a possum. the pic is kind of strange, with no explanation.

I didn't get it. But I did respond in teasing you about it. Poetic justice. Bring it up, don't explain what it means,

    get response.

Just yet ANOTHER strange diversion from the current subject.

And, any lib can answer: Name ONE Dem in public office, who has had their children and family unmerifully ridiculed.

Name ONE gov. that has had a bunch of frivolous, politically oriented legal attack lawsuits on "ethics", like holding a fish,

or wearing a ball cap of her husband's team.

What I said was true. Political attacks of personal destruction are a Democratic thing, a new low.

  • I was merely posting a funny picture of Katherine Harris, cal.

  • Even after the supremes got together and handed the election over to "W" an independent group of accountants went to Florida and did the recoun t on their own and found out that "W" really did win.

As far as stealing an election and voter fraud that is what we have gotten out of this past election with early voting & Acorn stuffing ballots in the battleground states.

We need to go back to the old way of one day voting and there will be less of these shenanigans.
