LOL- I'm the guy sitting in this chair....  " Would you like me to call security to escort you the hell out of it?"  ?

If I recall correctly he is the same guy who wrote the expose on the New England Patriots talking about dysfunction and turmoil between Brady and Kraft and Bill Belichick. It seemed to work out fine for them as they are in the Super Bowl so maybe that's a sign of things to come for us.

I just looked it up he is the same guy he wrote an article on January 4th 2018 about the downfall of the Patriots in the turmoil between craft and Bill. So if all things follow suit we'll be in the Super Bowl next year

EXACTLY! Just another media guy sensationalizing everything he can. What amazes me is the number of people who read media bullcrap every year yet quote the same idiots again the next year. LOL

It’s not amazing. People tune in and watch. They know if you watch too. Rating figures go down, they’re gone. Simple

"Marketing executives wanted employees to see how fans were engaging with the Browns on social media, so they projected the Browns feed onto a giant wall at the facility. It was like broadcasting talk radio over the entire building, and one day in particular, it was worse than that. One of the marketing staffers entered a search for #dp — for Dawg Pound. The problem was, that hashtag carried a few different meanings, one of which triggered an array of porn to be broadcast onto a wall for the entire office to see for more than 20 minutes, until a tech employee killed the feed."

    20 minutes eh? 😆

According to Justin Fox, it wasn't 20 minutes.   It was an oversight and was corrected promptly once word got to the techey people.        lol

Can you imagine being in the office.  "Hey Bud, should we report this?   -  Report what?"    🙂

Do you really think that all these football players had not seen porn before?

I don't believe it was in the locker room where the players are. It was in the office where the front office people are the marketing people are the white-collar workers of the organization. Also yes I imagine even most of them had seen porn before but it's not something you would expect to see in a workplace. As someone said 20 minutes was an exaggeration, if it went on for that long I would assume that people were intentionally leaving it up.

  • Best comment I've seen so far that sums up Jimmah's ownership:

"Comrade Haslam and his "Reign of Error".

I have a feeling that there is a long line of ex-Browns employees who would line up to talk shit about the Haslams...

Banner, Lombardi, Sashi, Farmer, Pettine, and on and on.

It's refering to the ESPN article, so it doesn't bring anything new to the discussion...

  • So the Haslams are officially idiots because it came out on  Espn. I’ve known that for years.

  • I thought it was hilarious they showed double penetration porn for 20 minutes hahahaha.

  • Great read. I get the impression hours and hours of work went into that. It’s gotta be tough to tackle an article like that because nobody wants to talk on the record about things like that. The writer pointed that out a few times. Still, l get the impression he interviewed a couple dozen people.

  • Some nuggets

Hue asking why he’s being fired and then telling the.... TEAM OWNER, to “GTFO of my office” ???

Farmer turning down pick 33 for Brian Hoyer ??

Pettine was to blame for Gilbert. Haslam to blame for Johnny.

Haslam has clearly been the main problem to date. The only chance the Browns have of success is him having learned his lesson and staying away from Dorsey and Kitchens when it comes to football stuff.

I like Nathan Zagura's response best to the outdated article.  Much of the panic attack is old news that the owner not only took on/accepted the blame for; but has self evaluated and attempted to learn from or that wouldn't be enthusiasm for this team everywhere but the Colin Cowherd types trying to make it off of outdated stories. Not to sound like the late Gilda Radnor but they're growing pains of a NEW NFL owner; unless anyone wants to pretend his "little itsy bitsy teeny tiny" minority ownership involved him sitting in the chair next to Rooney learning the business in Pittsburgh.  New HCs get these growing pains too; especially when they take over a dumpster fire that hasn't been extinguished.  It wasn't like Randy Lerner was an experienced/seasoned owner before he realized his inheritance was only burying this franchise deeper.  If anyone thinks giving this franchise the CPR it needed after Lerner was going to be easy for the next brand new owner - I have some real estate for sale in Alligator Alley...

LB, I think where you and me tend to disconnect occasionally isn't in your passion for this team.  You're a diehard and I like that.  It's your timing of complaints.  The first time I jumped all over you was the day after you started a thread complaining about a RB (Hyde) that ended up with 2 TDs and 98 yards rushing and a WR (Landry) that contributed 8 receptions for 103 yards in this team's first of 7 wins coming off an 0-16 season the year before.

If you didn't see tremendous progress in the direction of this team in 2018 - it's because you didn't want to.  Obviously, there's still a lot more that needs to be done.  But, this sure feels like we've taken our first big step forward which finally makes momentum seem far more conceivable. All of a sudden, we have a large core group of players that aren't dreaming about greener pastures elsewhere after their 1st season or 2 here. They're excited to be here for a refreshing change, which reflects way better about the current situation here than the meaningless Colin Cowherd wannabees are capable of.   Not only that, but it's become a way better recruiting attraction for veteran FAs than it's ever been...  All that being the case, the better time to panic was when Cleveland followed 1-15 with 0-16 than what many of the solutions to it have provided in the first time this franchise has only lost 8 games in over a decade.   Yes, inexperience frequently leads to mistakes.  The guy who wrote the article you seem to think is so wonderful here - just so happened to time it all when this team showed the type of progress reflecting a lot has been learned from previous mistakes.

People like to piss and moan about how negative the media in Cleveland likes to get at times; but fans celebrating the piece of shittt article this guy wrote only feeds their insatiable appetite to write what they think fans prefer to read.  That can KILL a recruiting attraction for FA veterans here and has quite often in the past.

Oh absolutely I do see progress and you will not find a bigger Baker fan than me, I have no doubt he has what it takes to get us all the way to the SB. I didn't like Hyde and was happy he was traded because it meant we used Chubb, who I did like. I don't like Landry mainly because of his contract, I know it's not my money but overpaying players that don't produce to that money is not the way to do things, in my opinion anyway.

I'm very excited for the future and when there is a playoff game in Cleveland I will be there ready to drink beer with you or anyone else I have had disagreements with before. We all want the Browns to win at the end of the day, even if sometimes we disagree on the process.

Yeah I almost forgot just how beloved Mike Lombardi was in Cleveland before the Haslams arrived...  Lombardi's word always meant so much in Cleveland and to Jason LaCanfora.

Try to think of how many Browns complained when we had an owner bring in a 37 year old CB Raymond Clayborn for a bigger salary than all the vets that helped us frequent playoffs like Clay Matthews and others.  Let's not pretend the Haslams were the only owners giving players and fans reasons to complain...
