Cal, you think a child that has been raped will be placed in the position of going and acquiring help before they realize they are pregnant. Clearly, they are in the custody of monsters so I doubt they will take them down to go grab some Plan B. There are 11 year olds that may not even know that what happened to them is how you get pregnant. When I worked with the juvies, the girls were usually pimped out or severely abused by family members. They were not in a position to go get help.

Time means little. I've just been noticing lately a solid amount of profiles that have nothing to contribute to the Browns discussion, yet always find time for a similarly contrived thought process on this side. Not deflecting in the least. I don't believe anything should* That isn't my business. I believe the rights of the mother, her parents and the consulting medical professionals are to be preserved.

It's not uncomfortable for me. And sad if you think so. What is uncomfortable is a pre-teen being forced to have this talk with her parents, doctors and law enforcement. You're "Pro life" I take. So I must ask, where is your stance on the quality of the 11 year olds life during and after, what will be, an incredibly dangerous pregnancy that could threaten her life? Are you cool with the abortion then? If so, then why not now since, with the evolution of medicine we realize just how risky it is for a child that age to proceed with a pregnancy. What about post birth? Whom is to care for the infant? The 7th grader that was raped? Her parents? What kind of quality of life are we talking here with physical, mental and emotional trauma that will be inflicted upon all parties now? Not to mention the financials, which.... honestly we don't even need to get into. Everyone knows how expensive kids are in this time. Point blank, there isn't a medical OR psychological professional at the top of their field that would agree with an 11 year old conceiving a rape baby. Straight up.

It's not that easy or simple when another innocent life is involved. Life many times is not fair. Sure it is not fair to a young 11 year old to have to go through a rape pregnancy but the alternative is worse the killing of an innocent human being. Personally I think an 11 year olds life might be in danger by having a baby that young and the life of the mother is a valid reason for an abortion. Let's remember also these type of cases are rare and the biggest majority of abortions are performed for convenience.

because my side understands that the issue isnt and never was black and white. The reasons are many why women havevto have abortions and most of them are dead on valid. Women who's husbands divorced them and have to work 60+ hours a week to take care ofvtge kids she has......cant afford to go thtough with the pregnancy evenbto put it up for adoption...or she risks losing her job. Just one ex of when abortions are necessary....i knew a woman in that circumstance.
