Gerald McCoy/ Mike Daniels

The Browns Board

  • Not many 2019 "contenders" with McCoy cap space... maybe Eagles or Seahawks.

Then it's a handful of "teams on the rise".

  •  This would make all the sense in the browns world, why we did not draft a DT.  Not much sense in TB. 1) Bucs did not draft or add a FA DT to replace McCoy. 2) Added 3 LB's in FA period. And grabbed the best LB in the draft Devin White to play behind McCoy to keep off said LB'ers. 3) Bucs drafted zero, much needed RB help either..McCoy is 31..

    I would be very surprised.

  • Why does this McCoy mess have New England at a low price written all over it? 🙁

Didn't they just resign Danny Shelton?

  • Bucs have signed his replacement quick enough, bringing in Suh on a one year deal

Question is- how are they going to afford him? PR move?

  • Details of Shelton's resigning -- summary: 1 yr for the veteran minimum plus some small potential bonuses.

2019 Shelton is now your Jeopardy answer to the question "Who Replaced Ted Karras On The Pats Roster"

  • Pats just resigned Edelman & Shelton.(team friendly of course, just as J. Collins) Brady was up next but man they are expecting more chicken salad from Scarneckia now with both Tackle positions very slim..If McCoy wants to start & play he goes to Saints,Colts,Rams or Philly next to Flecher Cox (what a nightmare) He could choose rotational teams, with about 5 more clubs including us..

I agree with Myles. Besides, if all he wants to do with go with a team that is winning already ....heck with him.

  • Dude played 9 years for a doormat team, who thanked him by releasing him. Once money is made, what's wrong with wanting a ring?

Yeah, well, Myles thought Ogbah was just fine also.  He doesn't seem to follow Dorsey's train of thought that competition makes you better.

Nothing...the problem is that he apparently is using ancient thinking that the Browns are not a team that could challenge for a title.

2slY.gif      Sure we Can...Zoltar says Dorsey signs his 6th Pro Bowler by close of business Friday..

  • the signing of mccoy has fuckall to do with any hedge on ogunjobi or richardson, wtf is myles thinking? Maybe theres a backup tackle that myles really likes that he doesnt want to see his reps drop off with a mccoy signing....cause thats the only peoole mccoy would be taking reps from if he was to be signed. I guess an eventual gm position is not in myles future. Cause signing mccoy would be for rotational depth....would only make jobi and sheldons reps more productive.

  • If I were McCoy, I'd just wait....

Nothing wrong with wanting a ring - but wanting to go to a team that is already playoff caliber, and ignores the chances of the Browns to be there... he's ignoring that the Browns are very possibly in the playoffs and maybe even the superbowl next year. I take it that he wanted to only go to a proven team, not looking at a team with tremendous talent and coaching, and promise to get there.

I like the players who love the challenge, and believe they can do it. Not just a guy who wants to join up with a team that has already done it.

So...I take it you are not a major Kevin Durant fan.

  • He's ignoring the browns?

Wut? You sure your not projecting again?

So provided he doesn't go to the Pats basically.   Got it.

or the Eagles... or the Rams, Atlanta also got to the superbowl, basically. Got it now?

Atlanta hasn't been back in a few years and really has been irrelevant since.    Eagles are trending downward since their magical run.   I'll give you the Rams.
