***Ravens VS Browns Gameday Thread***

Out the gate we just looked like the far more prepared team to execute. From both Sides. Kudos to Freddie coming out the room twice ready to Go..Harbaugh is no slouch at home & we took the air out of that stadium early. We Owned the 1st quarter clock 10 mins. to 5 mins.
Last week with Rams, we came out 2nd half sleepwalking to get scored on first drive TD..Opening 2nd half this week, we gave up a opening FG..Than we scored 14 unanswered after that in the 3rd..
Big game ball to Steve Wilks..Have not really looked, but seemed like Wilks never really turned the edges loose, except for the early sack of Vernon.. DE's & Db's sealed Lamar inside the hashes to only having 1 or 2 dance moves on sidelines most the day..
San Fran here we come...but that talk has been delayed to OH let's Say about Hump Day ?....

This was the absolute most fun I've had in a while watching Browns football. I didn't give them much of a chance, as our passing game wasn't clicking and Baltimore was playing incredible football. In one of my long, bumbling, drawn-out posts I said I had a niggling thought that we might blow them out. That the stars would align and we'd be able to exploit their subpar secondary.
Baker looked COMPLETELY different today and that's the best news of all. So calm, so poised, and so accurate. You kind of felt like Landry was going to bust out shortly, and boy did he. Hopefully some people started Seals-Jones on my advice! ?
What a terrific game for so many reasons. I got to watch it with my father and we had a fantastic time hooting and hollering. Special day, enjoy it. WOOF WOOF!
Oh, and suck a bag of weiners, REX.

I couldn’t help but think about all the times their RB had a career day against us. Turning that table was super sweet. Go Karma

Of course this makes Nero 2 for 2.
So it's all on him now.

What is most impressive to me is the improvement in the screen game under coach Kitchens after a seemingly 10 year drought.

This doesn't apply to todays game but i never want this song to die.

Shoebert, 17 combined tackles with a sack.
Nick Chubb can run really fast! (REALLY JOHN! You drafted Austin Corbette before him?)
Ravens went for it on 4th down from their own 31. I thought that was dumb.
This was a close game. After we finally went up by 14, the Ravens came right down the field and scored 8 points. It was a 6 point game in the 4th quarter. We won going away, but it wasn't easy. And we got Landry concussed. If we can't have him for next week it will really hurt. Callaway better get his ass to the facility at 12:01am and get to work.
Big win for us! - Feels good!!
BEING A BROWNS FAN IS A TEST TO SEE HOW MUCH YOU CAN TAKE -
Another thought - Chubbs' game, his patience, burst, strength and vision, is really what allows this team to get away with some of the deficiencies on the Oline at times.
Kid looks like a young Le"Veon Bell back there.

In all fairness I had seen Chubb play pre and post extreme knee injury at Georgia and he had lost all of 7th gear. Today was the first time I saw him back to that pre injury top speed he had been so highly recruited for in the first place. Now that he has it back, I'm glad NE took Michel and we got the better of the two top backs in that draft.

...he looked pretty fast in the 90+ yarder last season.

I missed first half, but I wish I had kept my voice so I coul shout properly at all that went through on last 2 quaters.
We have a great defense and a good offense. If we don't have many injuries (already having and still playing, like that secondary) and we get the playcalling right, we're going to many more fun games this season!
Great game......and my little red headed nurse Teri liked it too.
Oh haven't heard from any steelrz fans in awhile.

Yep, but it was that sudden acceleration that shot him through the gap and clearly ahead of everyone. The 90 was impressive, but today's was even more so IMO. Like turtles after a roadrunner.

Did you see the block by Greg Robinson on that run? He shoved that LB so hard that it caused him to lose track of Chubb JUST long enough to allow him to burst through like a bullet. Go back and watch that play, it's a subtle block that really paid off. In fact, Greg Robinson played his best game I've seen in a while. He also sprung Chubb on his other TD run and avoided his patented holding calls (I think). I also saw Greg throwing somebody's ass around a few times and I loved it. McPhee got the best of him super early one time, and then Greg laid the smack down (McPhee tried to bullrush Greg and was met with the stonewall, lol).

The down side to Today is we will get Callaway back next week but will lose Jarvis from the concussion for a few games,,,,,(I think)
