Should be another riveting Browns draft by DePodesta and Co.!
Depo... the guy whose role is not being expanded by Haslam... is in charge of the Draft now???
Remember folks... you read it here first.
Going to have to start calling you "Scoop"...

Tour gets so testy when his precious THE PROCESS BOYS aren't fawned over.
When it gets blown up in 2, maybe 3 years tops, I promise not to gloat... that much.

Gloat as much as you like if and when.
In the meantime there's no fawning required... just quit making shit up.
I'm tired of cleaning up after you... even though you provided the Scoop to use.

From Monday Morning Quarterback/Sports Illustrated
"Finally, on the (Cleveland Browns head coach) search itself - some of the candidates going through Berea found the place to have more red flags than Tiananmen Square. One big one was the, yes, level of involvement of DePodesta's analytics team. Both Hue Jackson and Freddie Kitchens were basically told to have senior analyst Dave Giuliani on headsets on gameday, over the last four years, with Giuliani serving as a sort of game management specialist. What alarmed candidates was the Giuliani, who worked with Chip Kelly in Philly, would not be reporting to the head coach. He'd be reporting to DePodesta directly. Another was that the head coach would have twice-weekly meetings with ownership and analytics people. In the past, the Monday meetings would have taken up to half a day, and proposed Friday meetings would be for reviewing game plans.

...not to gang up on ya Tour, but does it sound out of the realm of possibilities in HaslamLand?
Wouldn't surprise me.
This is the first time I've ever actually wanted a Browns owner to sell the team.
Is it possible that Depo ends up being the man? Sure, but right now there's zero evidence to support that is the plan, O.
I'm just trying to hold Dutch accountable for what he has been posting lately... most of which is unsubstantiated garbage in place of his usual funny garbage.
I mean he just had some poor schmuck believing that The Process wanted to draft Trubs over Myles... oh, wait... that was you...

Certainly the fans can't force him to sell
They absolutely can. But won't.
They can NOT buy tickets and NOT go to the games. They could peacefully protest, stating sell the team Jimmy, or watch the games by yourself. (well, actually with the opponent's fans)

No, they can't. You again are living a pipe dream. Then Jimmy, when his lease is up just says: " the town no longer supports this team......Where can we move to? Sacremento, St. Louis, Portland, or San Antonio look good to me."

1-31. Too late.
And the other 31 multimillionaire and billionaire members would be very reluctant to take action to kick one of the owners out and sell the team but they can !
In reference to the Jerry Jones case in 2017 (no action taken)......
A league source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that multiple owners already have been discussing the possibility, which flows from Article VIII of the NFL’s Constitution & Bylaws. Specifically, Section 8.13 authorizes the Commissioner to determine that an owner “has been or is guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the League or professional football.” If the Commissioner believes the available sanction (a $500,000 fine) is “not adequate or sufficient,” the Commissioner may refer the issue to the NFL’s Executive Committee, which has the power to compel “[c]ancellation or forfeiture of the franchise in the League of any member club involved or implicated,” with a directive to sell the team.
Now I'm not sure on some of the other details like stadium deals and other matters.
Hopefully this goes the simple way and soon ...... without any more 1-31 fiascos.

Just No
"Conduct detrimental to the welfare of the league" does not including losing to the other 31 teams. Those teams are happy to have the Browns lose to them.
Now, if JH had been indicted in the Pilot fraud scheme and had to go and wear a nice orange suit....then maybe. But, even then, were that to happen now at this juncture, he could just turn ownership over to his daughter and son in Law, and let them run the Browns.
(of course, could that have been a good thing?)
Again.....losing games does not fit the criteria.

yip, we are fucked once again...didn't we have another coach a few yrs back with ski at the end of his last name...i don't know,,,,its all a fucking blur....think it was smazranski or something like that....he sucked also....oh well.....team is a cesspool.....i don't care what kind of roster we have....like you say....it never works out....
Yeah, the name was Terry Robiski, interim coach. Then Chudzinski. A couple of polocks.
-
... and the part about Depo running the draft?
So, in your opinion, our Chief Strategic officer who by duties at this point is really our Head of football operations, (he IS in charge of selecting the HC, and the GM...or DPP as it were) would have no input into the draft? Surely, you must know the analytics department will have a lot to say about who the Browns should draft, shouldn't they?
And yes, I just called you Shirley.
-
Robiski was black. But sure, this team has been performing like it was being directed by a couple of Pollocks......Jackson Pollocks:
Lol, yeah I know he was black. Was making a little joke there.
And you misspelled his name like I did, except I did it on purpose for effect...it's Robiskie, not Robiski. "ski" is certainly Polish, not sure about "skie".

You're missing the 'peaceful protest' part of my statement. This would prove that it's not ambivalence.

I thought you meant that I misspelled Pollock. I am not even certain how the derogatory term for a Polish person is spelled. You are a major bigot, can you inform us on that?

The Peaceful protest you refer to...not buying tickets, not showing up to games, got the Houston Oilers a ticket out of town.
When they had a "save the Oilers" rally more press showed up than fans unlike in Cleveland where there was huge support to save the BROWNS or else there'd be NO NFL football in Cleveland Ohio now.
Be careful what you wish for and how you do it. If the Haslams ruin the BROWNS this time our nearest teams will be in Detroit, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Cincinnati maybe Indianapolis. Remember the football seasons in from 96, 97, 98?
That would "suck".

Fan action had fuck all to do with Cleveland saving the Browns. The lawyers that drew up the terms of the stadium lease saved the Browns with the specific performance clause.
Remember that:
LAWYERS SAVED THE CLEVELAND BROWNS.
If you think otherwise, look yourself in the mirror and say: "I am a dumbass".

Oilers left for TN for the same reason Modell moved his team... antiquated Stadium with lack of luxury boxes... a/k/a $$$.
The Oilers fans' efforts did not prevent a move.... same as Browns' fans. Both cities had basically the same length hiatus from the game.

That's one thing I realized back when the Browns played the Texans... Reliant Stadium dwarfs the Astrodome that's still standing, and I believe is used for rodeos now....
Though really Tour- when will the one upmanship on stadiums end? Seems like the going price has topped $2 billion....
Dear Mr. Haslam, could you please install heated seats in First Energy?
