So nine hoses on one machine... why not 12? or 15?
Cross contamination... differing lung capacities... differing lung elasticities... differing degrees of lungs being compromised by pneumonia...
Probably the reason the innovator himself said...

In other words the modification is in the same category as drug trails on the critically ill.

I am really frugal. I was thinking about one deluxe ventilator and just running hoses everywhere...?
Expanding the capacity of one ventilator though is something I think to consider in an emergency where there are no other good options,
