  • The democrats had a huge field of weak candidates running and the democrat establishment (using their media allies) put their fingers on the scale and decided to go with Biden believing he had the best chance to beat Trump.  When Sanders looked to be unbeatable the dem establishment knew this country would not elect an open socialist like Sanders so they went to work at CNN and MSNBC and other media allies to demonize Sanders. I predicted at the time Sanders would fall in the polls with the liberal media turning against him and he fell like a rock.

It was not only the media but whatever arm twisting or promises made to other democrat candidates by dem establishment to get them to drop out of the race and stop splitting the votes to help Biden.

So now the dem establishment got their wish. Joe Biden is a lock to win the democrat nomination. But as Biden shows terrible performance after terrible performance on the public stage the dem establishment are having some buyers remorse.

The dems are stuck with Biden as it is too late in the game to try to parachute Cuomo in. I still would not rule out some kind of attempt to draft Cuomo as they will do just about anything to beat Trump.

Actually the timing of the sexual charges against Biden right now are a little suspect. This supposedly happened in 1993 yet only right now this bomb gets dropped.

Folks... meet the proverbial fly on the DNC wall. But, hey, at least it was your thoughts, OBF.

Moderate Dems were split among several candidates while Bernie was riding a decent percentage of his true believers from 2016. But once Joe pulled S. Carolina out of his ass... as his campaign had been telling all who would listen that he would... the bulk of the Dems turned to him. Sanders' numbers haven't fallen. Joe's rose... Know who else's rose? Sanders... when Warren dropped out.

So, in short, your prediction sucked.

As for Sanders being demoralized... have you seen him lately?

I see a lot of lefties on Facebook falling all over themselves in praise of the guy. Besides the fact that lefties love any Democrat that doesn't seem quite as addled as Joe what's the attraction?

    Moving on...

What does a quarantine add to an area when all are under orders to stay in?

Plus since a true quarantine blocks ingress as well as egress, how would the areas be supplied?

No concern about traffic in the other direction? Don't look now but there are early signs of Spring Break Breakouts where Tectonix tracked the cell phone migration out of Ft. Lauderdale.

Seattle's transmission rate was 2.7 when it was becoming our first Hot Zone. Now after weeks of lockdown it's down to 1.4. So when you are ready for the call for a national Lock Down, let me know.

If a tree falls in the woods and no is there to hear it, does it still make a sound?

    Yes

If a bombshell story comes out and the mainstream media doesn't report it, is the story still a bombshell?

    No

Now Biden insiders are saying that Biden will not make it to November because of his mental issues. Why would Biden insiders be leaking this to Fox news except they want the story to be reported? Couple that with a new sexual assault charge from almost 30 years ago and I would say the drums are pounding already in democrat circles to get Biden out of the race. One way or another.

"While appearing on the Charlie LeDuff podcast, Carlson claimed that Biden insiders told him they don't believe the former vice president has the mental fortitude to last until the 2020 election in November, speculating that the Democratic Party may revoke his potential nomination.

"I sincerely and totally believe that Joe Biden will not be the Democratic nominee on Election Day," Carlson began.

"How does that math work?" another podcast host pressed. "It's not about math. It's about will," Carlson said, saying the Democratic Party is "intent on taking power."

"Two competing imperatives: We've got to win, but we've got a guy who can't win. Therefore, they're going to replace him," Carlson continued. "He's not going to make it, and the people around him know that. Trust me, I know them. And I know they know it, because they've said it to me."

Carlson went on to estimate that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is "most likely" to replace Biden for the Democratic nomination"

And how does the DNC revoke a nomination?

Early on Joe looked shaky at times... especially in the mass debates when limited time forced him to make his points quickly, concisely. I'd be lying, if I said I was not a tad concerned.

But 1-on-1 vs. Bernie he was much more controlled, relaxed and in command. The collective sigh of relief was nationwide... well, except in Vermont...

I can't wait for the debates with Trump...

Looks like some democrats are looking to Obama to help get Biden to exit the race...

Democrats need to recruit Obama to bench Biden, find another candidate: Goodwin

Looking isolated and lapsing into occasional gibberish, he seemed every bit the mentally challenged 77-year-old he was on the worst days of the campaign. Although he did better on a CNN virtual town hall Friday, his tics, such as having a three-point answer to every question, do not inspire confidence that he is capable of being president for four years.

I also am looking forward to see Biden debating Trump...it should be...interesting.

    So what can Dems do?

Find another nominee. But first, they must bench Biden, or persuade him to bench himself.

It’s a job for Barack Obama.

The former president remains the most trusted member of his party and is uniquely situated to deliver the bad news to his vice president. In fact, it won’t be a total surprise given that Obama never endorsed Biden, despite making it clear he did not want Sanders, the only other choice, to be the nominee.

Obama could pitch withdrawal as a final public service to country and party. For all we know, members of Biden’s family share the idea and would welcome Obama’s intervention.

The timing is tricky because the remaining primary schedule is in flux, leaving Biden about 800 delegates short of the required majority of 1,991. It is even possible the July convention will be postponed or canceled, creating huge complications around the nomination.

as with anything I say if anybody here doesn't fall into the description no reason to defend themselves. Fair enough. But is Biden your guy? Would you like to see somebody else in that slot?

First... "rightly suggested there might be?" How could I ever question such strong, decisive leadership... 😎  Guess it pays to be deranged...

no he didn't issue an executive order. Here's a question do you think we'd be better off if he did? In New York? You think Cuomo should take some blame for spreading the disease? For the convenience of some rich people who like to fly in and out?

    Moving on...

What does a quarantine add to an area when all are under orders to stay in?

nothing really if if it isn't enforced. Which it isn't. See below.

Plus since a true quarantine blocks ingress as well as egress, how would the areas be supplied?

exactly oh, of course if 80% of the businesses remain open that people can shop at will why bother punishing the other 20%? What's to be gained? Grandstanding? Plenty of that going on.

    Yup...

    Looks like I win again.

Pssst... OBF... here's how you can often tell... there's a little red(?) box that says "OPINION" in it...

Plus the word "need" in the title is also a clue, it's how I knew before I clicked on the link to place the bet.

    Ummmm, yes...

Warren suspended on March 5th... the soonest a decent poll could be assembled, put into the field,  tabulated and reported would be March 8th.

Look at the 538 graph I posted. The last little sliver of a bump for both Biden and Sanders came on March 8th. Both gained roughly 5%.

The bigger rise preceding Biden's last little blip? Other Dem nominees dropping out after S. Carolina.

    Any questions?
