Yup, Cal has Commie China on the brain. There was no realistic way with global travel that it could possibly have been contained. For a couple reasons.
1) Its absurd to think the Chinese, or any other developed country for that matter would instantly have known that they were dealing with something totally different than the flu. With the two week lag time needed to accurately identify the problem, infected people had already left Wuhan. Too late to do anything about it, coverup or not.
2) As I pointed out, if it hadn't been a direct import from China, the virus certainly would have arrived via US tourists returning from Italy.
Finally, let's hope Cal doesn't need one of those respirators those nasty Commie Chinese shipped over here to help out with the pandemic. That said, I'll leave him to his scapegoating, and defending his Wuhan flu pal.

actually, that's partly true - I was hating on commie china because so much stuff in about any store was made in china. and our trading with them was so one-sided. it was stupid. Thank God we have a REAL AMERICAN President that saw that. and is working to stop illegal immigration.
It is not absurd at all. They still don't admit it started in wuhan. that means they NEVER stopped chinese citizens from traveling all over the globe. and remember, or you didn't READ IT - the wuhan lab posted two job descriptions they wanted to fill - studying the corona virus.
