  • Here is today's trivia question.     Today, I will give you the nickname of an NFL city,  you state what city it is.  I am trying to come up with some of the more unusual names rather than the very easy ones.  Remember, all cities have an NFL team, a long list:

    1. The Bold New City of the South

    2. The City of No Illusions

    3. Jet City

    4. Amateur Sports Capital of the World

    5. The City of Broad Shoulders

    6. Shaky Town

    7. Pegasus City

    8. Bodymore, Murdaland

    9. The City that Care Forgot

    10. City of Fountains   (it is true...this city has as many fountains as like Paris and Rome)

    11. City of Flour and Sawdust.

    12. The Toilet Paper Capital of the World

    13. The Hornet's Nest

    14. The Heart of New Connecticut

    15. Hitsville USA

    16. Gotham

    17. Lost Wages

    18. The Big Guava

    19. The Birmingham of America

    All correct except San Fran......my source gives a different city for that name.

    12. Charmin is made by Proctor and Gamble - headquartered in Cinci

    13. Should have been easy - thinking NBA Charlotte Hornets

    14. New Connecticut - thinking snowbirds moving south - Miami

    19. Threw me - was thinking Birmingham Ala. Birmingham England was an industrial city - steel mills - pittsburg

    1. Bold New City of the South.    Biggest city, by land in the lower 48. 

    2. The City of No Illusions......because the snow is piled so high. 

    4. Amateur Sports Capital of the World....think NCAA HQ. 

    7. Pegasus City.....for the life of me I cannot think of a hint that would explain this nickname. 

    9. The City that Care Forgot.......but which still longs for Desire

    12. The Toilet Paper Capital of the World.    Only a small town could acquire this moniker.
