I will keep this open today.  Here are the ones left, Again, name the city that the nickname applies to.  With some hints.

        1. Bold New City of the South.    Biggest city, by land in the lower 48.

        2. The City of No Illusions......because the snow is piled so high.

        4. Amateur Sports Capital of the World....think NCAA HQ.

        7. Pegasus City.....for the life of me I cannot think of a hint that would explain this nickname.

        9. The City that Care Forgot.......but which still longs for Desire

        12. The Toilet Paper Capital of the World.    Only a small town could acquire this moniker.

        14. The Heart of New Connecticut.....think the Connecticut Western Reserve

        18. The Big Guava....aka...the Big Cigar

It appears you have  only 3 actual answers, but you did not give the team:

Lawrence Taylor is correct, and I will give that you would identify the Giants as that team.

You also said Ray Lewis, which is correct, but you left out the team. Again, I will assume you know that his team was the Ravens.

Billy White Shoes Johnson is incorrect.......as far as the franchise is concerned....but hint....not as far as the city is concerned where both players played.
