    I hope this trend continues... Our goal is to win the division and to do that we have to go through Pittspuke and Baltiwhore...

    The Browns are a really young team while the others in the division are realitively old.. Hopefully this will work in our favor once the games begin...

    Peace

    FATE OF THE CLEVELAND BROWNS SINCE 1990:

    2010 = LOSING RECORD

    2009 = LOSING RECORD

    2008 = LOSING RECORD

    2007 = FLUKE WINNING SEASON, NO PLAYOFFS

    2006 = LOSING RECORD

    2004 = LOSING RECORD

    2003 = LOSING RECORD

    2002 = MADE PLAYOFFS, LOST TO THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!

    2001 = LOSING RECORD

    2000 = LOSING RECORD

    1999 = LOSING RECORD

    There you have it kids. 21 years, 3 winning season, 2 playoff appearances, both losses to the Steelers. (Oh, and NO TEAM for 3 years! ) The chances are much greater that the Browns will not field a team this year than make it to the playoffs.

    "The Steelers are old" line is false. The entire offense is young. Franchise QB is 28. 3 best WR's and top 3 RB's are all under 25. The entire O-line is under 30. On defense they have two 1st round picks at DE that are under 25. At LB they have 5 talented players under 26. In the secondary they have 5 guys who will make the roster that are under 27. Sure Ward, Farrior, Smith, and Keisel are old, but all of their replacements are on the roster right now. The Steelers are a Sb contender for the next 5 years at least.

    wow silverback, you can use google. I'm so impressed by your awesome skills, really. Talking trash on a forum dedicated solely to a team is really awesome by the way. I can only imagine how cool you are in real life.

    I stand by my original statement---The Browns are a really young team while the others in the division are realitvely old you dumb ignorant troll...

    Wow your QB is only 28, uh ours is a bit younger than yours so I guess that makes my statement legit..

    I wont compare player for player, thats for geek trolls like you, but I do stand by what I said...

    The Steelers are a legit SB contender for the next 5 years, thats your opinion and you know what they say about opinions...

    If your franchise QB gets thrown in the slammer for that rape case it might change the fortunes of your team..Maybe him and Ward can be cellies...

    Peace

    Just curious, when did this thread deal at all with the Browns?

    I may post 100 basically generic football statistic topics, and of that 100, maybe 2-3 may show some data that isn't on the whole favorable to the Steelers. Yet, in their myopia, it is only these 1 or 2 that Steeler fans get their bowels in a uproar for.

    Before last season I posted this very same post, only then it dealt with the defending champion Saints, and the Super Bowl loser Indianapolis Colts.

    Were Steeler fans indignant that I listed a post that didn't put the future of the Indianapolis Colts in a favorable light?

    What is it about "facts" that gets them all upset?

    When I list the facts of the records of various franchises in "Super Bowls" I don't seem to get any negative reaction from them, yet when I list the facts of the total football titles won by various cities since 1920 they want to eat their shorts over the fact that I actually include titles won by defunct Cleveland area teams and all the titles won by the Browns (and all I am actually doing is recreating the list from the likes of pro-football-reference, wikipedia or the hall of fame website.

    What can I say other than that putrescence is as putrescence does.

    Oh, so silverback is back posting. Let me get this right. The lock-out ends, camp opens, the season is about to get underway. Fans around the world start to follow their teams a little closer, do some research about their teams and others, check a few sites the may haven't been to in a while look to the past and the future. Generally getting excited about football. While all this is happening you decide " Hey, I'm a steeler fan but it's time for me to go on a Browns forum and act like an A-hole". Truly sad. What a small life you must lead.

    Gipper if I could piggyback on your thread. There always seems to be a team that pops up and surprises everyone. Except for '07 those team seem to come from the NFC south. I'll say the Brown's were that team in '07 despite missing the playoffs. Hopefully they can be again. It could happen.
