I see Schaefering has moved from 3-4 DE to 4-3 DT, always liked him.
I thought Dqwell and Gocong were going to be switched?
Overall, I like our starters, but we are scarily thin on depth unless young guys step up right away.
Z
Z, I was thinking the same thing. We are a couple injuries away from 4-12.

Of quick note, nice to see that Brown and Maiava have secured backup spots so far in camp, I hadn't heard much about them and I thought they were getting betten out. Also nice to see that Hagg has been good enough to claim the backup spot to Ward and Skrine the backup spot to Haden.

Not to be a downer but Brown, Maiava, Skrine, and Hagg being good enough to secure backup spots? There are only undrafted free agents or people that a lot of us are very unfamiliar with behind them on the depth chart. I wouldnt get too excited about them "securing" a backup spot over undrafted free agents...
I see no surprises at all with the depth chart, but cool to finally see one posted by the Browns!

Zero depth.

OFFENSE
WR: Brian Robiskie; Carlton Mitchell; Demetrius Williams; Chris Matthews; Rod Windsor (Is this a position where the first shall be last and the last shall be first? Could be)
LT: Joe Thomas; Branndon Braxton; Calton Ford
LG: Eric Steinbach; Pat Murray; Jason Pinkston (I am kind of wondering if Pinkston will show up to be the first backup)
Alex Mack; Billy Yates; Steve VallosRG: Shawn Lauvao; John Greco; Jarrod Shaw

QB: Colt McCoy; Seneca Wallace; Jarrett Brown; Troy Weatherhead
FB: Owen Marecic; Tyler Clutts (As good as the kid looks, I can't help that putting Marecic in there is going to be a step down from Vickers veteran blocking presence. Eventually OM will catch on...but probably not in his rookie year)

SLB: Scott Fujita; Brian Smith; Benjamin Jacobs; Sidney Tarver
MLB: DโQwell Jackson; Titus Brown; Steve Octavien (Will Jackson last 2 games before going on the DL? Probably should set up a pool on how many quarters he will last before going on the DL. The over/under is 7)
WLB: Chris Gocong; Kaluka Maiava; Eric Gordon; Archie Donald
LCB: Joe Haden; Buster Skrine; Ramzee Robinson; Darian Hagan
RCB: Sheldon Brown; Dimitri Patterson; Coye Francies; (I didn't even realize Francies was still with the team. I thought he was traded or released) James Dockery

H: Richmond McGee
PR: Joshua Cribbs; Jordan Norwood; Armond Smith; James Dockery
KR: Joshua Cribbs; Buster Skrine; Armond Smith; James Dockery

Note: WR Mohamed Massaquoi is on the active/non-football injury list

Does this make Robo our #1?
Maybe they see something that we dont. IMO: Robo at best would probably be a #2 or #3 on any playoff team.
Where is Little?

Where is Little?
Everything I've heard has said Littles been getting first team snaps across from robo. By week 4 robo will be our #3 and cribbs #4 with momass and little grabbing the starter rolls, if momass is healthy that is

Where's Little? He's a rookie coming off a year of not playing. If MoMass' bone heals I see MoMass, Little, Robo, Mitchel after a few weeks.
I like the O Line and satisfied with the secondary. I think D'Qell is written in pencil (lightly).

If Pontbriand ever gets injured, we're going to have a real Clutts-terxxxx on our hands.
Ah thank you.

If this roster was inserted into madden this year the browns are a 76 overall
Also would be the lowest rated team ever EVER to make the madden cover, in theory the makers of madden will over compensate for us being on the cover and rate us a respectable 88 which is utter bullshit.

i know you dont understand but madden has helped bring football to the younger generations. it actually does teach you a lot about the game although it cant teach everything. even coaches have used it with their QBs to help show different scenarios and how plays should look.
you may hate it because the older generations always look down on the younger ones but madden is one of the best selling franchises of all time and it definitely deserves some respect in that area

no that's not why. it's because most of these kids that play these games do nothing else but sit in a room and veg out on that shit. the only thing worse than that is dressing up in wizard garb and rolling some dice so you can become a cave-dwelling ogre in some role playing game.
go outside and pick up a real football or baseball. christ on a crutch! young whipper-snappers!!

The only reason Madden is the #1 selling football game is because they are the only company that's allowed to sell NFL licensed games so yea, they are #1 in that department.
All they do is update the rosters and repackage the same game over and over and sell it to chumps who keep buying it year after year. Madden 04 looks just like Madden 08.
Why should they put more time and money into making the game better if they have no competition?
Once another company is allowed to use the NFL name Madden will flop and be a thing of the past.
Plus kids dont learn anything about football by playing Madden. All they know is x runs and o throws the ball. Most kids use the same play over and over as long as they keep scoring. Not to mention they all go in and change the players ratings so they're all 99.

I understand it perfectly. And I know that of all the video games out there, it is probably one of the best, but it is still a F*****g video game.
Face it, it is a substitute for actually learning about the game the way it should be learned about, and it still doesn't have a cabbage farts worth of relevence to the actual game.
It is no different than saying that Strato-Matic baseball can team you a lot about real baseball. Sure, it can, but that was still a board game, just like Madden is still a video game. It is not a substitute for the real game. To declare that "Madden doesn't rate so and so team or player very high" is still irrelevent to the real game..

Gip you are really showing your age. Damn good game though.
