he is getting paid because as much as everyone wants to bitch about him, he is actually an above average LB and good at WLB, on top of that he is our most versatile LB, being able to play all 3 LB spots.

I think you're all being too hard and under-appreciating our linebackers. DQ AFC player of the month. Gocong played a very strong game against Miami. Are they the equivalent of the Ravens, Bears, and Steeler linebackers? No. But it's a solid unit. And I don't thimk the signing has anything to do with the draft. If an LB stud is available in the first round, H+H will go for him.

If I recall correctly, GoCong was the undersized college de in the NFL combine that year, who was very, very quick,
agile, and balanced guy, a smart player, who was automatically going to have to move to lb in the NFL.
He's a player. And all the bad stuff about Jackson? Undeserved. He's playing GREAT.
Meanwhile the one lb backup to Jackson is almost ready to get back on the field.
