the brownies wouldnt have taken julio jones in the first place and they were going to trade back anyway....it just so happened that the falcons were more interested in moving up than the browns were in moving back
the falcons sacrificed a lot to move up and pick up 1 guy ala ricky williams about a decade ago.

That's assuming the agent will agree, which rarely happens. Agents push for backloaded contracts so the player has more value to the team the longer he's there.
Front loaded contracts are few and far between for the same reason you mentioned, if a player loses a step he can be lopped off with barely any detriment to the team.
In an ideal world, all contracts would be front loaded and incentive laden. Unfortunately that's not the case.

There's a plethora of options available, the defense can't cover everyone. Of course Jones is going to get more yards when they have him run 9's most of the time he's on the field.
Little is a #2 on a team that has no other playmakers. When MoMass doesn't play, Little becomes the #1. Even when MoMass is playing, teams know to key more on Little because he's the only threat there is. Little has nobody to draw the attention away from him, is playing is a much less vertical offense with a much less talented QB, yet still has nearly the same stats as Jones while hugging the bottom of the route tree nearly every play.

I have seen them both play. And there is nothing in Jones' game that shows that he is any better than Little. They are a bit different. Little is bigger, Jones may be slightly faster, but he is no better...at least not so far. The ONLY thing he had was a higher draft position.

AH, Little is a rookie and didn't even play in like the first 5 games. If he got on the field it was only as a token. I would venture to say that Jones has probably been in on far more snaps this year than Little. As for the TDs, the Browns ain't got no TDs, the whole damn team. I would venture to say that Littles one TD is a far higher percentage of the team's TDs than Jones's 2.

Jones was handed that starting position simply because he was the 8th overall pick.....and for all we know the Falcons really had no one else. The Browns had others players. MoMass, Cribbs etc. Little was not handed his job.
The ONLY thing that slightly supports your argument about Jones perhaps being better at this point than Little are these damn ridiculous drops that Little keeps making.

ok im always getting railed for being a colt homer, but i will tell it like it is on this one. the play where he got leveled by Harrison was a scramble. thats not the lines fault. But if I'm being real, Hillis has been a little bitch all season, and Colt has zero receivers. he needs some people around him if youre ever gonna see him make it happen. He can't carry an NFL team. Thats real talk. Oh and Shurmurs got to get his head out of his ass with the playcalling.

Hahaha. Will you ever add constructive opinion to this board? This thread is about WRs and you bring up your bullshit on OL guys and your love for ghoolie. Ever wonder why everyone hates you? Get your head out of your ass and add something of value or leave the board. It's for real Browns fans anyway.
That said, our WRs do suck. MoMass and Norwood should stay and get rid of the rest. We need to find a #1 and #2 WR for next year if that's even possible. And for the record, yes Jones is better than Little. But why compare them? The Browns got 5 draft picks for Jones. We didn't trade the Jones pick for just Little. Stupid comparison..
