    Rep,

with all due respect, this trading the load concept to me would signal that the Browns FO STILL has no football culture in place or even in the planning, and is instead floundering.

If teh reason we made the Atlanta trade is because we believe in playing the draft probability game by taking as many chances as possible, then I am okay with it but let it play out.

Are our chances of finding a Tom Brady in round 6 just as solid or as risky as a QB at #1? Who knows? It is still a roll of the dice.

Personally, a lot of the top picks turn out to be shit, and it seems a lot of later round guys achive great things.

I am going to be PLEASANTLY happy to shut the fkuck up, relax and watch the Browns pick up a lot of new, young talent. The odds that so many picks will indeed increase our talent level are pretty good. I think BETTER than trading a shitload for Luck. Fkuck Luck.

I hope we get a new RT so Cal with stfu about it!

I will miss having Browns football to talk about for the coming months.

Honestly Luck is the only one I would be willing to trade up for and I would still be more than upset about having to give up our draft to get him. Honestly the more and more I think about it the more I don't even want RGIII this year. If he falls to us at 4 and take him then we are taking a spread QB and even though I do like what he did this year I just have a huge hate of spread QB's in the NFL cause they mostly never work out. If we had to take a spread QB might as well wait until round 4 and take Weedle, he has good production and even though he is 29-29 he could play till he's 40-42 since he has just as much wear and tear as the next guy, or just wait and take the project QB out of Chatt. We got 8 picks this year might as well use them our possibly trade back 2-3 spots and pick up 2-3 more.

  • lol...and with these guys, what will your season record be then? 11-5? 13-3 with a divisional loss? 15-1 with a SB victory?

damn your threads are fucking stupid. epic fail is right...

I'm laughing that most of you are saying trade it away for Andrew luck but not RG3 and Blackmon, to me your already hypocrites beyond all belief.

I live in Cleveland watch all our teams, trades, draft, and FA moves. The games we win and we lose and i'll go based on Cleveland History we can talk all we want about who we can take etc but i am starting to think the curse is here again and we won't take any of them.

    Draft 2012

Colts Trade the 1 pick for an assload in return to a team with balls (Andrew Luck) Or they let go of Manning and Keep luck

    Rams Select Justin Blackmon

    Vikings Select RG3

    Browns Select Morris Claiborne.

Thats basically the worst case scenario is if Blackmon,Luck and RG3 go 1,2 and 3...If that did happen i would consider the Browns trading down with a team that needs a LT in Kahil...Not far down and try to grab Richardson

If that's the case, we trade down, grab another first and/or second rounder and take BPA.

Not a bad scenario at all.

Thank god your not GM... LOL

You must've thought we did well this year on offense i agree with you 100% !!!

Edit this a little so you can understand the scope of this.

Browns Receiving touchdowns combined from WR TE RB in 2011 16 Touchdowns

    Justin Blackmon 2010 had 1782 yards 20 Touchdowns 2011 1522 Yards 18 Touchdowns

Colt Mccoy had 2700 yards and 14 Touchdowns 11 Ints this season.

RG3 4293 Yards 37 Touchdowns 6 Ints and Runs like Micheal Vick.

Ya thank God i am not the GM for the browns my team would score points.

You are comparing college numbers to NFL numbers.

I suspect that Colt McCoys senior year college numbers were probably equal to or greater han RGIIIs.

I mean, if you just want to go by college numbers, then look at Case Keesum....but remember, he comes from the same program that brought you David Klingler and Andre Ware etc.

My concern would be that RGIII could turn out to be a modern day Andre Ware.

which i find absolutely hilarious. these are the kind of arguments that we have to have....comparing apples to basketballs.

    the probability is staggering!

I hope everyone is aware that St. Louis knows we dearly want/need Blackmon and so even if they decide they want Kalil they are still going to tell the Browns they are taking Blackmon so that the Browns will give up some picks to move up and get him. He could only require our other first rounder to move up those 2 places but could be more as well. I still think they Browns have got to make a move to secure Blackmon because we need a #1 NOW! Heckert can't put it off any longer.

how stupid...next year is when we need first rounders to get a QB or in 2014. if we have everything set this year and next except for QB then we can trade 4 years of #1 picks and it wouldn't matter...we can't do that this year...it's not our time yet...2015 is the year...that is what we are building for...not one year earlier or we crack.

Uh, 2015 isn't the year. If it is, Holmgren is finished in Cleveland. The Browns will get a QB alot. Like this year, we were as thin at QB as WR. Just doesn't mean it is high slots.

There is no such thing as the "year".
