  • GT despite their offensive philosophy produce great WRs. Demarius(sp) Thomas from the broncos attended GT and played in Paul Johnson's triple option offense. I actually see GT's offense as a positive as far as WR prospects go. While WRs from this system might not be constantly running routes, they spend a lot of time blocking for the run game and when they do pass it is for a big play. Most WRs coming into the NFL aren't complete prospects and are going to lack in one or more of the necessary skills needed to become a complete WR. I see those skills as being 1) a playmaker 2)blocking for the run game 3) route running. A #1 WR from GT is going to be proficient at blocking and being a big time playmaker. Route running is important but it's a very teachable skill. If we can get Hill in the 3rd or 4th round I would be extremely happy regardless of what we do in the earlier rounds.

Hill has they most range out of any WR coming into the draft. 6'4 with a 34 in arms and a 39 in vertical gives him almost 12 1/2 feet worth of range. He won't last till the third. Today has thrown him all the way up into the 2nd round, maybe first for a team desperate for WR.

Now that official times came out I'd like to retract my statement on Cunningham and talk about Chris Owusu. He is the #1 WR from Stanford. He has the speed of Hill and a 40 inch vert. He has great route running and hands to boot. The only problem with him is that he missed a lot of his Senior season due to multiple concussions which has driven his stock down considerably. He would be a good pick up in the 5th or 6th round.

  • Luck's athleticism surprised me...

The OL depth... looks to be upward of a dozen 1st rounders. Kalil, yes, but DeCastro has the look of a beast... Gerhart (C-AzSt) has the look of a sleeper.

Doug Martin (RB-Boise) posting 28 rep's in the bench press... Keeping an eye on him.

His 4.55 wasn't bad, but not the 4.41 hand time reported.

A&M's Cyrus Gray (RB) turned some heads... Good WCO fit as well.

Martin can play. I do think we need a speedy back though to go along with a slugging back like Hillis if we resign him.

Wow I thought Martin was a lot faster than that.

Kendall Wright running a 4.6 40. That's insane. I thought he was supposed to be a burner.

There had to be something wrong. I'm waiting on his pro day to see what was up.

Yeah bad day for Kendall Wright... His QB was faster than him 😆 ...Oh well, RGmock3 is a burner at QB wouldn't make a bad WR if he could catch... 🥷

Dude, you post the dumbest shit imaginable.

I feel like this deserves a "takes one to know one" type of comment.

I just wish Ghoolie didn't have to hit enter twice after every sentence. Paragraphs are pretty sweet if you ask me.

Haha ya but his favorite thing to do is post a 2 word response and then hit the return key 10 times to make his post extra long and full of nothing. At least he doesn't copy Rich and post one or two words in between ellipses that take up entire lines..

I have been hearing that the Indy track is a "fast track", so maybe it should be no wonder that so many WRs are putting up such good times. That said, if Kendell Wright ran as slow as you all report, then that is, indeed, a head scratcher.

Yea Michael Floyd measured in 5 inches taller and over 20 lbs heavier that Kendall Wright and ran a 4.47 compared to Wright's 4.61... Thats definitely surprising. I think Floyd has cemented his status as the draft's second best receiver with that. His athleticism and size remind me a lot of Greg Little who ran a 4.51 and is similar height/weight to Floyd, they may play different, I havent watched a ton of film on Floyd..

Second best is an understatement I would be shocked if a 4.6 guy who is 5'10 190 went in round 1 even round 2.

Yea, I don't think we need a Greg Little clone. We need speed. If we have to go down further in the draft to get it, so be it.

Ballpeen mentioned Chris Rainey from FLA... worth a thought.
