the smart choice for the west coast offense would be to select the next projected Darren Sproles in T.Rich.

Did you compare T Rich to Darren Sproles??

Google is your friend, type in Trent Richardson the next Darren Sproles i wrote every single article for every website, and i am the guy on every national radio show who said the same thing Jim Rome Mike and Mike, Skip Bayless etc and so on i am everyone because my power spans that far.

Hey guys its 2012 i expect you all know how to research using the internet, or are able to afford stations like ESPN on TV, or have access to a radio for sports shows.

First we aren't taking two WRs. We'll be lucky to take 1 in the first round.

Sproles!? How many tackles does Sproles break? Darren Sproles doesn't have the size, strength and balance to bounce off tacklers like Richardson.

I think he's A bigger faster Emmitt Smith that happens to be from the same town, same High school and he's the same size 5'9''. If he fights for yardage at the next level like Emmitt Smith did- he will be just as good if not better.

Ok I took your condescending advice and found nothing. That is a horrible comparison. They are literally two totally different backs. I must be missing something...

  • Richardson

    Mercilus

    Alshon

  • 4) Richardson

    22) Wright or Hill

  • #04- He whom shall not be named... 😉

    #22- Stephen Hill

    #37- Kevin Zeitler

    Round 3- Chase Minnifield

Round 4- Vontaze Burfict and Marvin McNutt

  • claiborn then floyd

  • First pick: Richardson.

#22: Floyd/Wright. I don't think Hill will be taken since Heckert bases most of his decision making on game film. Mercilus could also be taken here. Both Heckert and Shurmer on on record saying they really like him.

#37: I would say some RT, WR if we take Mercilus in the first. I honestly couldn't pin point what though.

  • Hate to be the bad guy, but the Browns are trading out of the number 4 pick, they want to stay in the top 8. The Dolphins offered there second round pick already. The Browns are looking for a deal like the one they got last yr. I would bet everything I have except my daughter that we trade out of that pick. We will not get Blackmon or Trent. Look for the Browns getting someone like Ingram or Floyd at number 8, thats were I think the Browns will draft. There is a very small chance Richerson drops to 8 but doubt it.

The Browns are in talks with the Bucs right now about the 4th pick as well as the Jags..But almost 100% they do not draft at 4. This should be no shock to anybody

I'm assuming you are comparing them purely based off of size and their relatively similar 40 times (depending on which source you believe), because that's about where the comparison stops.

Sproles is a slash runner, a real "shake and bake" guy. He has strong cuts and a tremendous ability to change direction, hence his placement as a punt/kick returner. For someone of his diminutive stature, Sproles is considered unusually strong, but he's nowhere near what you would consider Richardson.

Richardson is a power runner, with slightly above average quickness for someone as bulky as he is, but no top end speed. He won't be returning punts or kicks any time soon.

Sproles is more like Josh Cribbs, whereas Richardson would be Peyton Hillis.

  • Blackmon

    Miller

    Minnifield

  • Whether it is at #4, or a trade down to as low as #8, the Browns draft

    First #1 = Trent Richardson

Second #1 = Stephen Hill (Floyd will not be here at #22 and Wright will be available at #37)

First #2 = Best DE or OT left on the board.

I agree with you. I would be shocked to see us keep the 4.

My dream scenario at this point would be ...

Buc's want Claiborne and we bluff them into think we are going to take him ... swap picks and pick up there second rounder

Then the Jags/Rams want Blackmon we bluff them and swap and take there second rounder

Phins want Tannehill ... we bluff them and grab there second

We pick at 8 and grab T Rich or whoever Heckert wanted all along and add 3 top 10 second round picks

Probably won't unfold that way, but I would feel much better about the lack of activity during free agency.

  • Pick 4 Blackmon

    Pick 22 Hill or Floyd

    Lets go WR,WR

    going with the same picks,

expect to see a RT/OL with the 2nd round pick

wouldn't be surprised to see Weeden in the third, but more likely a CB

Source to the fact that the Dolphins already offered their 2nd or bullshit.

Richardson doesn't have top end speed, but he is still faster than most RB. His game speed 40 was timed at 4.52 by sports science and topped at 19mph. That's during a game with pads on. He also might not have elite quickness but good quickness for how big he is and he does have Elite agility.

  • i know we need a running back but why draft one so high when can literally find a RB unsigned.

Based on this I'm pretty sure you are in fact the Omniscient Ass-Hat known as Jim Rome...

Maybe what "Jim" was saying is TR won't be breaking any tackles at the next level...

I did... you had to use Googles "Literal" advanced option on the entire phrase. Buried wa-a-a-a-y down the hit list...

    No? 🤔

    OK, Claiborne / Floyd... 😡

Not that I disagree with the trade down's likelihood, but how do you know who's offered us what???

  • I think Claiborne at 4 and then best RB available, with either a QB or a WR in the second round. That could mean a 3rd round WR as the first receiver picked. Call me crazy but here's my logic:

It's a deep class at WR and they have said a lot of things to distract people from Claiborne. I think they see the talent as well above the other options (Richardson or Blackmon) and the need to be just as great. So we have 4 picks in the first three rounds and we need a WR, DB, QB and RB (and linemen, etc). The question is how do the Browns get the best combination of the four. Caliborne totally solidifies the D, with perhaps a couple of later round DE's and OLB's. But right now, it's a glaring weakness in a pass-oriented league. There are a couple of good RB's but waiting for the second round is a gamble and a steep drop=off in talent. So I think they'll pick the RB up in the first round. In the 2nd round, if they've identified a QB and he's still there, they'll go for him. As there will be some good quality selections at WR in the third round.

On average, this is the best strategy for the Browns. It starts with Claiborne and then they'll watch the board and potentially change strategy if someone drops. But my call is Claiborne (DB), RB, QB, WR, OT, OG, in that order, in the first 4 rounds. 4 or 5 of the 6 will be starters in game 1 (DB, RB, WR, OT and possibly OG)

  • Fisher came out and said that the Browns are a possible trade partner with the Rams. How fucking stupid is that. You snub the Browns who have the better deal by picking ahead of the Skins and offer a second 1st rounder this year, claim it wasn't because of any relationship you have with Shanahan, and then say you are looking into a draft day trade with the Browns to move up to 4... THE SPOT YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN PICKING AT IF YOU HAD TAKEN OUR BETTER OFFER!

People think our team is run by a bunch of morons.

  • Don't get mad, HB, get even...

If Rams want our #4, fine... just make 'em overpay for it.

The #6, their #34 and their #38 (via the 'Skins) would be a fine place to open discussions.
