This was about 5th down the list after googling him, maybe we should take a look at Chris Rainey too... thin line between love & hate.

NFL Player Allegedly DESTROYS Ex's Apartment
Atlanta Falcons cornerback Christopher Owens is under investigation in Georgia for allegedly smashing up his baby mama's apartment and dousing her most valuable possessions in bleach ... TMZ has learned.
-
So this season we signed a coach arrested for driving through a fast food restaurant drive thru naked and drunk...lol
A defensive lineman who ripped a guys door off its hinges drunk and probably high on bath salts.
And a defensive back that destroyed his gfs house and poured bleach all over her shit... fucking Lombardi is turning us into the Bengals lol

In addition to Grimes who was rated tied for #1, CBs still out there include DeAngelo Hall and Quentin Jammer both rated tied for #1, and Awesomewha...rated #2.

It seems they want to go after guys in the 24-28 ish age range and aren't too keen on 29+ that want high contracts.

My linkAnother LB coming in today for a visit. He has been a promising reserve in his 4 years with Dallas....Hmmm...
Also of note: Eric Wright is likely to soon be cut loose by the Bucs. Remember him? He had a 4 game suspension last year for performance enhancing drugs thus enabling Tampa to release him and owe him nothing. They want to trade him but are unlikely to get any takers since his salary for this year is over 7 million. Another possibility for browns at CB2. He is 27 so he fits the age range desired.

I've said it before. He would be a huge upgrade from anything we have now.

He was garbage with us. He was garbage with Detroit. He was garbage with Tampa Bay. And he had a bad attitude/off the field issues the whole time.
No thanks.

NOPE!

Wright was actually pretty good in 07-09. It was in '10 when he started getting beat regularly. Must have been because he changed from number 24 to 21.

You are probably Wright, but it would be an upgrade in terms of talent, he was a bitch though. Look at his INT's and pass defended, he is not garbage. He is an all or none CB, agreed, pass.

He's unreliable at best. He is the definition of a boom or bust CB. He either makes the play or gets seriously burned.
We don't need a prima donna asshole who barely helps. If he was such a contributing member he wouldn't have passed around between three teams before he turned 27z

So after the signings we and the Bengals top the league with 28 Mil remaining.

The question remains: What does this bode?

Browns sign another camp punter by the name of Schum who punted at the University of Buffalo from 10-11. Only averaged 38 yards a punt, won't make it past the first cut in camp.
-
Well Grimes just signed with the Dolphins.
-
Browns reported interested in Hixon WR Giants, used to play for Akron.
-
Hixon seems like a logical fit: a seasoned route runner who I can see playing in the slot here

After days of speculation, Carson Palmer was officially traded to the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday. He may not be the only one on the move.
The Carson Palmer trade to the Arizona Cardinals is finally official after a few days of speculation, rumors and reported "snags."
The trade officially signifies the end of Palmer's Raider's career and what turned out to be a disastrous acquisition for Oakland. The Raiders traded a first- and second-round pick to acquire the former Bengal in 2011. Oakland didn't recoup much value back as they traded Palmer and seventh-round pick to Arizona for a sixth-round pick and a conditional 2014 seventh-round pick. Either way, Oakland is moving on with Matt Flynn while Arizona has a new starting quarterback. SB Nation's Revenge of the Birds and Silver and Black Pride have the deal covered from the Cardinals and Raiders perspectives.
Carson Palmer may not be the only quarterback on the move as a couple of backup quarterbacks could be close to joining new teams. Pat White has not played in the NFL since 2009, but he could be close to getting back into the league. White is reportedly "very likely" to sign with the Washington Redskins. The former second-round pick spent one season with the Miami Dolphins. He cancelled a scheduled visit with the New York Giants, a possible sign that a deal is near.Dan Ciarrocchi of Hogs Haven has more on the possible addition of White and what it means for the 'Skins.
Another potential backup quarterback could be on the move with free agent Tyler Thigpen the leading candidate to backup Russell Wilson in Seattle. The Seahawks are in the market for a backup after their trading former reserve QB, Matt Flynn, to Oakland on Monday. Thigpen spent the last two seasons as the backup in Buffalo. He could be a good fit with the Seahawks due to his familiarity with the read-option offense. Field Gulls has more on the backup situation in Seattle and the possibility of adding Thigpen.
The Jacksonville Jaguars were among the busiest teams on Tuesday as they agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks while also hosting free-agent wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi for a visit. Marks should help bolster a Jacksonville defensive line that is currently thin on experience. Massaquoi could also bolster the Jags' depth currently with little at wide receiver behind Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts III.
The Jaguars could also get a boost next season from the return of Maurice Jones-Drew. The starting tailback missed 10 games last season due to a foot injury. He was still in a walking boot in late March, but got out of it recently and began light jogging on Monday. For all of the latest on the Jaguars, head over to Big Cat Country.
Jones-Drew could be on his way to joining the the Jaguars offseason activities, but Chiefs left tackle Brandon Albert isn't expected to participate in Kansas City's offseason workouts. After being franchised by the Chiefs earlier this offseason, Albert said he is staying away from offseason workouts until decisions have been made on his long-term future.
"Until I know my situation with certainty," Albert said, during an appearance on the NFL Network, "I'm going to stay away."
The Chiefs hold the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft and could potentially select an offensive tackle, making Albert's long-term future, and contract negotiations even more complicated. Arrowhead Pride is your source for complete Chiefs coverage.

I find it interesting that the skins are looking at White. It could be that he is nothing more than camp fodder or they could be in the works to trade cousins to a qb strapped team. Currently they have RGIII, Kirk Cousins, and Rex Grossman as Qb's. If they traded away cousins it would be the perfect time and they would get high value, giving the draft isn't showing much for nfl teams to excited about.

i can't believe we didn't even offer Nnamdi Asomugha a dime. just my opinion, i think the guy will redeem himself this year.
even though there is a good rookie prospect sitting there waiting to be drafted by us in 3 weeks why not take a chance at a one time proven commodity? it would have cost less than to pay a top ten rookie and we could have added maybe a mingo or jones or another projected seek and destroy OLB. or maybe even come up sopp up warmack.
we did address the LB corp in FA but didn't do shit in the defensive secondary.
san fran is going to rock this year.
-
In actually quite disappointed in our FA activity (or lack thereof).
