Gordon is the only reason the Browns won today. Getting in the way of Banner's tanking plans?

Little can't handle being the #1 WR, but as #2/#3 he seems to be functional.

Little wasn't terrible today with Josh back, he caught a few and had a few plays.

You've got to wonder how much of that was how the ball was thrown

Ball is thrown? Little is terrible vertically. Weeden placed a "Manningesque" terrific pass and Little just dropped it down the seam vs. the Ravens. Hoyer can't make that throw at all.

Little was in the only position that he can play.

Yeah, I was thinking that as well - Hoyer puts more touch on it whereas Weeden seems to drill everything.

I really liked the touch on the lofts into the end zone. Weedon's looked more like a broken wing and a prayer. Hoyer had a much better touch

LOL please for the love of God tell me you are kidding. Elite talent wide receiver for a bust QB?

  • I would try Little out at Runningback, he was one before. He can catch well enough to catch out the backfield like a RB though.

    ...I don't want Ben Tate....

+1 , not a bad idea at all. As a receiver he is total crap but maybe he could run

only reason we have Gordon on the trading block is bc of his off the field drug issues. The FO thinks he is a liability in that regard and are banking on him screwing up again. That would THE ONLY reason they are looking to shop him aroun. And I wouldn't take anything less than a 2nd rounder for him. Exactly what we spent to get him. He is a first round talent, so the bargain for the other team is a getting him one round cheaper.

I can't fathom trading Gordon. He's our best player on offense... makes it almost hilarious that people were saying that about T-Rich and his 2 or 3 yards a carry week after week.

Trading Trich made perfect sense. He has been pedestrian at best. Often his performances are below average. To get a pick anywhere in the first round for him was a coup on our part.

Trading Gordon would not only be stupid from a talent standpoint it would also be revenue suicide. Many fans don't like the Trich trade even though it was a good business move. After today's win and watching Gordon there will be mass mutiny if they move him. I understand the substance abuse issue and it is definitely a concern. It is enough of a concern that we would never get fair value out of him. Fair value based on his talent and performance would have to be top 20 round one. No one is going to take that risk so you have to stand pat and manage him.

I am a very thick skinned Browns fan but I will seriously be tempted to stay home and leave my seats empty if they move him.

Pretty much no one can catch much out of Weeden. Put the kool aid down

Little was dropping balls regularly before Weeden ever arrived. Little sucks period. He is like Braylon Edwards with his thumbs cut off and an eye poked out.

    Two thoughts:

    • This seems like the thread to use for all the things Scheckter unleashed this morning.
    • Just re-watched the segment and a key phrase was: "One team has made a quality offer for gordon, but the Browns are awaiting better offers."
Based on the latter... I don't think we are shopping either WR. I think we are entertaining offers and there's a world of difference. And now that the word is out, the offers will only get better...

Will we get an offer we cannot refuse for either or both players? Stay tuned....

And "offer" does not necessarily exclusively mean draft picks...

And Ben Tate is awesome... it's really the only meat in Adam's report and thus the only bit to get excited about so far.

Shopping/entertaining offers....one and the same to me. And that's especially true with this report because now everyone knows he's available.

Do a lot of negotiating do you?

And on 1100 earlier I hear Ban/Lo taking credit for building a good D. and that is what they want to do for the O. Did I miss something?

You mean other than the fact we changed our entire Defensive philosophy?

    @hempman said:

I would take 2 first rounders for him. My guess, though, that closes that door.

Exactly... every player has a price. You never know what someone is willing to give up for a player. So you can never say never.

Bull s**t. Gordon is rapidly proving he has elite talent, off field issues notwithstanding. Go ask the Texans what they want for JJ Watt, and get back to me. You can offer all the tea in China for one of the truly elite qbs, and you'll get laughed off the phone.

Oh i suppose we could offer Green Bay 1\2 our defense and all our 2014 draft for Aaron Rodgers, but we're not talking crackhead moves here. 🙂

Point is when the phone rings... you pick it up.

Seems like LIttle did alright today, just like it was mentioned before, maybe he is better suited as a #3 WR behind Gordon and Bess.
