CLEVELAND -- Emotions spilled over for the Cleveland Browns following their 32-28 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
When star cornerback Joe Haden addressed the media, his voice cracked as he expressed his frustration.
Haden didn't know what to say when asked to assess the Browns' mood after their third consecutive loss and seventh in eight games.
"I f------ can't stand losing," he said. "It hurts. I go out there and put my f------ heart out there every time -- every time. And we end up coming up short."
Haden took the blame for Cecil Shorts' 20-yard touchdown catch with 40 seconds left that won the game for Jacksonville.
The Jaguars had thrown short all day, but on the pivotal touchdown, Shorts faked a slant and went for the end zone. Haden, who has been playing very well all season, bit on the slant.
"He made a really good play, really good catch," Haden said.
But the frustration of losing to the lowly Jaguars (3-9), and being the player responsible for the touchdown pass, got to him.
"This s--- hurts, every time we start losing, you know what I'm saying?" Haden said. "It's just ... we're tired of it, and there's nothing we can say."
Haden's eyes were glassy as he spoke, and at this point his voice started cracking.
"You're going to come with the same questions every week, and we're going to give you the same answers," he said. " 'We're gonna get better next week. We're gonna get better next week.' Joe Haden is a good DB, better then anyone we have, but he is no way an ALL PRO.
All Pro CB's line right up 1 yard away from the other teams best WR. and they don't EVER EVER get burned on double moves. That's why you line up 1 yard away. Haden thinks he can make up position . NOT IN THE NFL. Get in the guys jock and stay there.

Haden takes the other teams best WR, but he plays off and reads the QB. GREAT CB's play the WR and could care less about what the qb is doing.

Top Flite CB's are 1 yard in front of the best WR. He NEVER plays that close, He might line up and play the other teams best WR, but he gets beat all day long by them. He never jams ANYONE and just thinks he can make up the space.
This is the NFL...........JOE, not the SEC, unless you are Dion Sanders or Darrell Green, you have to be in the guys face at the snap.
Haden can pick off passes when the QB pulls a Weeden, but when a WR is allowed to run off the line, Haden is an average DB.
If they want him to play the other teams best WR, then put him 1 yard infront of said WR and let the defense worry about the rest

I would vote for Haden as a decent to above average CB, but he is NOT PRO BOWL material
The one bad play cost the team the win. Just ask Haden, and he would would agree. They were winning and Haden gave up the winning play

Shut down CB's play 1 yard in front of the other teams best wr, They don't give up double moves, or ANY cushion. Shut down corners don't let average Wr's catch numerous passes in front of them. And they sure as hell don't give up double moves to lose games
