forgot all about this band. isn't that paul rogers vocal who played with bad company and was frontin queen for awhile?

i'd take the sweatervest over any candidates that are left to be interviewed.

sure he was conservative with his team. hell he only had one playmaker on the offensive side of the ball in clarrett. things change, people change.

you never know he could be the next jim harbaugh or pete carroll.

Yep, and a relatively unknown guitarist who goes by the name of Jimmy Page.

Sorry, no relevant comments about the Browns. This is about as low as I've been

on the team since Modell moved to Baltiwhore. I have absolutely nothing good to

say about the team or FO. 2014 has been flushed down the crapper and I honestly

don't see anything to be hopeful about for the near future.

And this begs the question...do we do the unthinkable and root for Broncos to win the SB? 🙂

Manning is not Donkey Teeth who cost the Browns three trips to the Big Dance. That was 20+ years ago, though as one poster has in his tag line- Karliss missed- and I believe that to be true.

Hard to say if Manning would retire, or come back for another year should the Donkeys lose the SB- they have to get there first, which isn't a given.

Nearly 30. And horse face is still part of Denver, as an exec.

I was joking, and that was my point in rooting for Denver to make a run and win the SB. Then Manning would more likely retire and come work in Cleveland. (If they lose I think he'll stay and give it another shot.)

As much as I don't like Broncos or 49ers, I'd be happy for Manning or Phil Dawson should one win the SB.

After Gase says "NO" (and honestly, other than the most homer-goggle wearing people on this board, does anyone

here REALLY think he will take the job? ), won't it be a lot easier for Haslam to simply hold a Broadway style open-casting

call? "Anyone who wants the fuckin' job, just give us a call." Sort of an open mike night for would-be coaches.

Something else about The Firm (side note: went to see them at the Coliseum, 3 things: Drunk, Fight, didn't leave with the girl I took)

The Firm existed from 1984 to 1986. The Browns were 5-11 in 84, Marty took over, 12-4 in 86.

Actually an incoming coach now has the upperhand. Unless he goes 0-16, he won't get fired. He knows the Browns FO wouldn't get anyone to stick after the 2014 season. And Haslam knows it too. Haslam's apolgetic letter wasn't to the fans, as much as it was a subtle message to prospective coaches. Look for the Browns next coach to stick for a few years no matter what.

And because of what I stated above, look for the other 2 stooges to stick as well. Haslam is getting a bad reputation as an employer with high turnover and he knows it (NOW).

Haslam isn't stupid, he has to at least partially see his two stooges as obstacles at this point.
