Mary Kay says Haslem will offer CEO job to Manning when he retires...
-
Does anyone really think manning will want to be a FO guy when he retires? He's a ball player...he's already a top 5 offensive coordinator in the league and has been for years. Heck, I"ll bet manning would make a great defensive coordinator real talk....that guys done nothing but study defenses his whole carreer. Basically there's really nothing that guy isn't qualified for when it comes to coaching staff..which is where he's gonna wanna go long before he hangs it up and settles for a FO job. Haslem might not even own the Browns by the time Peyton's looking for a desk job.

Pure speculation.

Way too early to speculate Peyton's future.
They must know more than Peyton himself.
-
why does she have a job covering our team?
-
FO type job highly doubtful, I could see him becoming a QB coach somewhere and then moving to a O coordinator position, or maybe joining one of the NFL pregame shows.

The last time Mary Kay got something right, Peyton Manning was still in college.

Manning is already set for life- why in the hell would he want 16 hour days in-season being an offensive coordinator? Now it is possible Manning may be interested in a FO job somewhere, but there's better landing spots than Cleveland. You can bet serious money that Elway will offer him (serious money) when he retires to hang around in Denver in some capacity.

Manning may want to do it to emulate Elway and run his own franchise. As for why Cleveland: Haslam and the Tennessee connections. They apparently have been friends and admirers since Peyton was at UT.

He already owns 50 Papa Johns in the Denver area. Sounds to me like he wants to be an exec and not a coach.

There are fundamentally two kinds of people in life as it relates to work and neither is right or wrong. There are those who work to live (of which I am) and there are those who live to work. Some guys love the 16 hour days and the high pressure as much as I enjoy watching a football game or fishing at the river. I am a professional that can't wait to retire. Manning however strikes me as a professional who is a perfectionist that lives to work be it football or any other endeavor.

Smoke and mirrors. Plan A is Elway and Manning buy the Broncs. Winnin' SBs is also part of the plan. So much for that.

please keep anything denver away from the browns. especially horseface part deux.

I would take Manning right now as our OC....right now. And i really don't understand anyone that wouldn't agree with that sentiment. Say what you will about his SB failures...the guy has been not just one of the best players in the league for the last decades, but also the best OC. He is his own OC...if he found a qb that could run an offense like his, and he brought him here....I'd have that in a hearbeat.
