Makes sense for them. Get something for him rather than nothing for him.

The question is: if the Browns want him, what are they willing to give up.

That may be the question of the week.

I remember there was a used copy of Jugs floating around.

yeah but all the best pages are now stuck together.

that and a dirty bar rag might get that deal done though.

    i'd rather sign freeman.

We can throw in a couple of the beauties walking around Johnston & S Arlington in Akron to sweeten the deal.

Is that the answer to Tyrion Lannister's question: Where do Whores go?

  • The other FA QBs out there are these beauties:

    Mike Vick

    Matt Flynn

    Tavaris Jackson

    Jimmy Clausen

    Josh Freeman

    David Garrard

    Rex Grossman

    Matt Hasselbeck

    Kevin Kolb

    Dan Orlovsky

    Curtis Painter

    Rusty Smith

    Charlie Whitehurst.

    OY ❗

Painter off the list. Resigned with Giants. Now that leaves 35% of available FA QBs as former Browns starters. (unless someone else got cut the last hour)

  • Speaking of ex-Browns. The Giants re-sign Peyton Hillis. Two years, 1.8 mill.

Does it really matter who the Browns bring in as a QB? History would tell you "NO". No QB can take this organization to a winner. Some day the rest of you guys will figure that out. There will be a new starter this year. They too will struggle then everyone on this board and the 15k in the stands on Sunday will boo him and cuss him and call him the worst QB ever. Same bat time.same bat channel. Almost funny how it just keeps repeating itself. Any QB with any sense at all would go sack groceries before taking the Browns QB job. I have followed the Browns since the Brian Sipe days. Getting tougher each year.

History might also tell us we haven't brought in any good QBs lately.

Or maybe the post-Browns success of Holcomb, Frye, Quinn, McCoy, Anderson would indicate those guys aren't that good.

We picked terrible quarterbacks. Quarterback has never been our only issue though, but we have sucked at picking them.

If we got a quarterback who didn't suck, he wouldn't suck for us just because we're the browns.

The first round that will live in infamy. And history says it's almost impossible to draft two complete busts in the first round in the same year- but Holmgren and Heckert succeeded in beating the odds. BTW Weeden from the 2012 nfl.com draft page. "I'm ready to start (bagging groceries) right now."

I don't care what you all think but Colt is still the best outta that list right there. He (kinda)won when David Bowens was a starter on the team... David Bowens.

Yo~ DING DONG THE RED HEAD'S GONE! I'M JUST SAD THE FLAG WON'T HAVE ANYONE TO SACK NOW!

    1) Colt is not the best FA qb out there- by a long shot.

    2) He's never coming back to the Browns.

  • New Coaches... New Offense... Another Wasted Year.... Why Bring In A QB?

If the post was so useless….why did you take time to respond? 🙂

if supporting the Browns is so futile an endeavour, why bother to spend the time to post on a forum dedicated to them? Unless you're just trying to get a rise out of people - in which case, you probably have bigger issues.

Composing (whoops, big word I know) er, 'typing' this gem of a thought must have been hard for you, what with the limited light in your mom's basement and one hand down your pants.

You are absolutely correct. If your point was to prompt someone to call you a dick licker you have succeeded beyond your wildest imagination. Good work.

I think perhaps since this guy is from Western Pa. he would prefer the term Knob Gobbler in homage to home boy Punxsutawney Phil, the denizen of Gobbler's Knob.

  • omfg laugh my balls and ass off

  • link?

  • for some reason it wouldn't let me paste the link in this box so it's in the thread title

  • it's pretty sad when you look at the list of FA QBs available 8 of of the 40 were somehow connected to the cleveland browns.

that's a whopping 20% of bums we've had in and out of berea. 😎
