Ben Tate discontented.

The Browns Board

  • Mark Sessler wrote an article on NFL.com saying that Tate was "disappointed" in his amount of carries. But didn't want to complain. Why does the media look for and create controversy where there isn't any? Tate, like any other player wants the ball. What else is new. Keyshawn Johnson wrote a book titled "Throw Me The Damn Ball" in his rookie year.

I'm sure Tate isn't having regrets about being a Brown. After all, they're in first place in a tough division, whereas the Texans aren't about to win anything in the near future.

Tate is a gamer and a team player. Don't read anything into a silly article.

  • Honestly it was his tone and demeanor as much as anything that led me to this conclusion

  • How can you complain by doing minimal at your job and make a millionbucks?

  • espn had the topic slider on nfl today with the topic 'troubled running game in cleveland'.

fucking idiots. same as all the others in preseason that had to (and still do to this today) look for any smoke in the manziel/hoyer debate.

fuck 'em all, big and small.

Because competitors like to compete... Not justifying his bitchiness, but that's a stupid thing of you to say. I'd be worried if that was any players mindset.

  • Most players that whine don't stickaround on their team too long. There are receptions.

    what does this even mean...?

It's a joke about changing cultures. Keep up.

Saw that... and when the topic was discussed nothing about Tate being "discontent" was mentioned. The segment was about how Pettine has created a positive, earn-it-in-practice atmosphere.

I agree about the receptions part. Even if the carries being split 3 ways means Tate's not going to average 20-25 carries a game, his receptions vs. TB and Cin helped and a few more could help out the deep balls to Gabe, Hawk, Cameron, Benji and Gordon

There was a lot of preseason talk about changing the culture in the locker room, as in the losing defeatist culture.

My speculation was that Mary Kay had been covering a team with a losing culture for so long that she's had to adapt. Create stories where there shouldn't be any, just to get people talking.

She needs to adapt herself and learn how to cover a team with a winning culture. More positive stories, less feather ruffling.

And Korean, a play on the word "culture." Didn't get it, not funny, no worries man.

I can't stand MKC, but as long as she stirs up controversy she's going to sell some newspapers.

  • The good news is that this Scary K Cabbage moment wont even make a ripple in the locker room.

Shit. They've been talking about the running backs competition since training camp. Whats new here?

  • Every professional athlete competes. Every day. It's not a story, it's not discontent. It's how the job is.

The only story would be if Tate didn't want to compete. Not being the lead dog SHOULD piss him off.. but that wouldn't be a bad thing for the locker room!

  • Is tate content with his current role? No? Then he's discontented. Sorry that terminology bugs you tour.

  • Ben Tate can suck 2 farts out of 3 dicks and move on.

Put up or shut up. If you get outplayed, you get outplayed.

    et tu, TC?

  • Liked the offseason Tate signing but really don't care that he's not happy. If Pettine thought he would be a game changer, he'd get the ball more.

This isn't newsworthy, in my opinion.

Of course he's upset. He's getting outplayed by a UDFA and a 3rd round pick. He's in a RBBC. If you can't take hold of the job, don't be surprised when you lose it.

  • Wasn't West a 3rd rounder?

Yes. And that's why I said 3rd rounder and don't go looking for any mistakes because you won't find them.

  • I hope he runs like he's discontented every time he touches the ball .
